I'd be happy for someone like him, just one defenseman with any sort of offensive skill would be a nice change of pace. -

Well he's definitely nowhere near as good defensively as he is offensively but he isn't bad. He is as you say fast and reads the game well and he is like Babs would say a great puckmover and has a good first pass but he is small, not very physical and doesn't have as good positioning as elite defensemen normally do. People just looove harping on every single defense mistake he makes though, he gets scrutinized more because he is so good offensively. -

Unpopular? this is what pretty much everyone says. And not sure being completely dominant among d-men in point production should be seen as "the only saving grace" -
