This is Edmonton...we do not get outshot by them. The Oilers wouldn't know how to play with passion and hunger if it bit them in their season tanking asses. And it's not fair for Smith to be punished when one of our top line defenders is just as bad if not worse, standing there like 6'4" 220lbs of worthlessness.

It's a shame someone can't rig sound effects and make a fart sound every time McDavid's name is mentioned, it would sound like the men's room after free hot dog night.

Larkin is a diamond in the rough, something the Wings haven't known since Zetterberg/Datsyuk. The chance to emulate and learn from them isn't something he's going to pick up in Grand Rapids and the chance to do so isn't going to be around forever. Richards is a short timer here, Kenny needs to put a nice package together and get us a legit defender.

I'd be willing to bet Babcock phoned Phaneuf personally and told him to stay put, it's funny how the deal was all of the sudden never spoken of again. Toronto did not want Weiss, Bab's could have had a role to play in that too. As far as Suter and Parise, Suter is NOT a 10m defenseman and paying Parise that kind of money does nothing to help our defense and only hurts us resigning players. I don't think it's a bum move on Holland's part at all.
