I don't think it's Babs fault as much as it is Hollands. As a coach you want to make the best decisions working with what you have, so why the same roster that OBVIOUSLY isn't working? Does it take 7 games to realize that the lineups suck? Unfortunately I fear Babs would be the scapegoat and be the first to go in the event it comes to a house cleaning.

You have to wonder when the coach is going to take his share of the blame... If 23 guys "forget" how to play hockey, then you're doing a piss poor job as coach reminding them that they can indeed play. For one, we just took our agitator that brings grit to the game night after night, that gets under the skin of opposing players drawing penalties and placed him on waivers... We're better than this and have entirely too much talent to have (multiple) games of this nature. Alfie for instance, he gave up his legacy in Ottawa to come here and win and we put him on a line with Dan Freaking Cleary :/ Quincey needs to go back to Colorado, let's see how much success the Avalanche have with him on the blue line. Nyquist? Don't even get me started... Go Wings.

Filppula is an intelligent player, he's worked with Babcock and knows the Wing's system. The same can be said for Brunner (despite his short tenure with Detroit) & Hudler, Weiss however has been playing for the Panthers... Need I say more? Detroit is a puck possession team, and since the days of Bowman's "left wing lock" have never really been a dump & chase team.
