I don't recall myself or anyone else feeling "inferior" to Sidney Crosby or the Penguins organization for that matter, we beat them as well... I just wasn't understanding why Crosby/Pens were listed with Original Six teams at first. This move to the East and the new rivalries that come with it is going to take some getting used to.

I admit I didn't look at it like that, at first glance I took it as insensitive and an insult to the NHL's heritage. History is the one of the few things we as NHL fans have that THEY are unable to change...

He was my idol, when I used to play I used the White Nike skates and Nike logo'd Bauer equipment. My coach called me Sergei, lol. It seemed to me that Sergei liked being flashy and all the media attention surrounding him, in my opinion he wanted to be the "shining star" on a team full of stars and it wasn't happening so he parted ways. I lost a ton of respect for him after that. Remember the Nike commercials of the late 90's? The goalie prank calling him and saying "Your mother wears Red Army boots!" lol those were the days...

OMG that would be my wet dream, seeing Chara wearing the Winged Wheel. A guy can only fantasize... But realistically, I can't imagine players not wanting to come to Detroit because they think we're going downhill or that we suck. Who with any talent, wouldn't want to play with Datsyuk? We just need a player with the positive mentally of "oh wow, if I was on a line with him we could be dangerous!" Surely that player exists, and he will be a Wing. Maybe not this season, maybe not even next season but he'll come along.
