Too bad nobody would be willing to take on that contract for a player that SOMETIMES shows up in the playoffs and has looked less than mediocre the past 2 years. -

Because most want to see him let go/traded after the season. I still don't think it will happen. -
I missed this part of the game. Was it an actual crap call by the refs? Or did pavs take a stupid penalty? To me it looks like interference for sure because toews didn't have the puck in that picture.

Red Wings don't belong in the same rink as the Hawks?
Kmahrle83 replied to MidMichSteve's topic in General
I say let them keep thinking that. Most of thought this team wouldn't be icing for the playoffs, and most thought that we wouldn't make it out of the first round either. Do I think we'll beat the hawks on talent alone? NO! But, I think we will shock them at least twice in this series. Let them doubt. This team thrives on it. -
Thank you very much. Good hit

This is also why we miss guys like helmer so much. He gets that outlet pass even a half step ahead of their D men, and he's gone. He doesn't have the hands yet to finish most likely, but having him constantly rushing their goalie by himself will make them think twice before forechecking that hard the whole time.

I missed this game unfortunately. Does anybody have a clip of the kronwalling that caused this chant? Would be much appreciated!!

I'm so tired of the league ejecting players for clean hits, yet when suspensions/fines are warranted, most of the time they get a slap on the wrist. Not only that , the league clearly favors certain players and teams. Every day, they become more of a joke. I've been trying to get some friends to get into hockey but they can't understand the rules. My friend asked me "why can one team do that but not the other?" , and "how come he didn't get called for that in the first period, but did in the third, when the one in the first period was 20 times worst?". New fans, get confused by the rules and how they're called and lose interest.

I hate perry!! I HATE him!!! But, as others stated, it looks to me like the damage would have been worse had he NOT jumped. Me might have bowled right into Howie with a planted (foot still on ice) knee to the face instead of the skate, which gave a little upon impact. I hate to say it, but I actually applaud perry for at least attempting to curb the force of impact. Could have been much worse.

I would agree with you on that but, some of the younger guys have been around enough that within a season or two they'll be vets anyway. Look at guys like abby, helm, howie etc, those guy are considered vets in my eyes now because they've been around a little while. Not picking on ya, just figured i'd offer my opinion.

Here Garry, I fixed your post for you so that there is actually some truth to it. LoL ok, i'm done going off topic here. Having a fake Garry to take my aggression out on is fun though!

Why Garry! Just the wo-MAN i'd like to speak to beat over the head with a hockey stick. Sorry, that is an insult to the female sex. Have you gotten used to Cindy's titanium jaw yet? Sorry, that was below the belt. I'll stop there.

Putting Hank's goal scoring problems into perspective.
Kmahrle83 replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
I played for about 20 years (obviously never made it pro), and in my 19th season, I was playing a holmstrom type role and screening/tipping on the PP. The defender at one point, spun me around with a shove and my teams defense-men took a slapper from point (mind you he had the hardest shot on our team) which hit me in the lower spine, fracturing a vertebrae. I had to have surgery that summer, and was able to come right back and play next season, but I was never the same. I was much slower, couldn't really skate with the jump i had before and, as you pointed out about Z, I had to skate more erect due to the lower back. The problems from my back (along with other injuries over the years) made me play a completely different way. It was so bad for me, that I had to stop playing after the 20th season because I was no longer effective in any capacity anymore. I'm just happy we still have a healthy enough Zetterberg to play and show us magic when he can. He's past prime years , but as with Pav, when he turns it on, I'm still awed and impressed.
