I saw what Getzlaf called a dive. He took a shot when Ovie had his back to him because he didn't like getting checked into the boards. Ovie just got up right away and didn't look to a ref to sell anything. -

I wish, but I don't think Toronto would realistically take that. Right. I wish Capgeek was still available for scenarios like this, but my guess is it wouldn't leave us much room to retain key players. -

DET gets: Franson and Kessel Would you guys do it? Seem like a fair trade? I'd be nervous giving up all that talent, but that roster looks awesome. Seeing Kessel on Datsyuk's wing would be crazy. -

It's winning based on a skill competition basically. You don't see games being determined by home run derbys, dunk contests or some sort of qb competition. Shootouts used to be exciting to me, but now since they are so often it kind of lost its luster. -

Lidstrom was a competitor, hell all pro athletes are. You don't get to that level without being one. Knowing when to walk away is one thing he definitely didn't learn from Nick. I don't blame him completely, but he can't be so blind to think he can still hack it on this team. -

I remember thinking a while back, maybe 8-10 years ago or so, wanting a Cleary jersey. I can't stand his face anymore and I'm glad I didn't make that decision. f*** you Kenny, I hate you more than the person who stole my bike as a child. -

I'm thinking it has to be the Cleary signing today. It's received the most attention and it's not good attention. The front office looks like they don't have a plan and don't know what they're doing. This is a business not some charity retirement community. Sometimes you have to break promises to players in order to do the right thing for the organization. I just don't understand.
