It needs to be one or the other. If not it would be hard to squeeze Cleary in the roster.

That is a terrible idea. So we would give up a 30 goal scorer that without we wouldn't have been in the playoffs. Plus a potential 30 goal scoring power forward for a guy who most people project as a borderline 1, strong 2 dman. Ekblad is no Doughty or Weber...

If McCann or Tuch are not available then trading down, and picking up Vrana would be ideal. Hopefully we get someones 1st this year and 2nd next year. We need to stock up on picks for next years draft to either trade up, or replenish the depth that will be in the NHL soon.

I love Tuch's size and shot. However I am split between him or McCann as who I would choose. I like Kempe and Larkin just not as much as others.
-
Yeah it would be nice if Holland would make a bold move here. However Rich, any move for a Thornton, Kesler, or Spezza would mean no Tuch.

Pull ups are a great test for overall body strength (core, back, shoulders, and arms). Hence why they are a staple in cross fit, sports development programs, and the Marine Corps. And you wonder why us jarheads ripped on you guys so much . I think Bennett will be fine with a good training program, and the proper diet. He can play hockey which is the most important factor, and as long as the drive is there he can develop enough strength over time to hold his own.

Yeah Frank, Nylander is not only cocky but overrated imo.
-
Unfortunately Frank I don't see any way that Ritchie will still be available
-
Barbashev would be a nice pick, but I would prefer McCann, Tuch, or Perlini before if they're still available.
-
We definitely could use more big guys with skill. I still really like Perlini if he is available at 15.
-
Absolutely, he would look great on Pasha's wing.
-
I love you Richdg, and as much as I love Mantha he is not going to be that successful to start his pro career. 20-30-40 would be a hell of a start, and garner a contract for roughly 7yr & 45mil.

1st: Perlini or Tuch 3rd: Alexis Pepin
-
This is a great point. Our future is going to be bigger down the middle.

Kassian is an RFA, but Vancouver is going to be shaking things up so it would be intriguing. Weiss and Kindl for Kassian would be nice. Then sign Stastny to fill the void at center.Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen Nyquist-Stastny-Kassian Tatar-Sheahan-Helm Abby-Glendening-Jurco Callahan-Miller Kronwall-E Dekeyser-Meszaros Smith-Oullette Lashoff
-
I don't think he is the answer. However trading kindl for a later pick, and signing Meszaros would add a lot.
-
I would imagine sometime mid way throughout the second or sooner. If he is available I would love it. One of Ritchie, Perlini, or Tuch should be available. If this series taught us anything it is that we need to get bigger and more physical. Doing so without losing skill, and those three guys accomplish that. The only way I would consider passing on them is if McCann or Barbashev are still available, and we cab trade down a few spots to acquire a 2nd.

Size, hands, high compete level, and speed are attributes that generally don't bust. Is he the next Backes, no probably not. But we are talking about potential and at worst he fills the PF role on a checking line. Barbashev can play either, but probably projects higher offensively on the wing. Kempe- is exactly why I think we will trade down if we don't make a serious playoff run. We could get a second, and still get Kempe in the 20-25 range.
-
Draisaitl=bust... Hopefully we continue to look at forward. I would love for McCann or Barboshev to be there but latest mock drafts have them just ahead of 15. Perlini, Kempe, Vrana, or Ho-Sang would be good picks in that range...
-
Quincy>Greene, not that I want either. I second Brian Campbell over them.
-
We will trade down, if available, to gain a pick in the 2nd since we traded ours.

Pete Rose did a lot more than just gamble on baseball. He gambled on and against his own team, trafficked steroids out of his gym/baseball training facility, substance abuse, spousal abuse, and the list goes on. I may be one of the few who believe he got what he deserves. Ryan obviously has issues, and should be severely punished by the Lightning and NHL. Hopefully he will get the help he needs to get out of that destructive lifestyle.
-
If McCann doesn't fall this is who I want. Most scouts believe his highest potential is at wing though.
-
Hiller's contract expires I believe. Anaheim or Vancouver would be the only options. I would love him to be here, but there are to many moving pieces for it to be realistic.

Miller will end up on the west coast. His wife is an actress and wants the family together. Yes to Jake Gardiner
