ONE goal for Franzen in the past EIGHTEEN games!!! Wow. I honestly didn't realize it was THAT bad. I'm speechless, that's horrible.

It does and it doesn't. Pick your poison really. It's going to be either Pittsburgh or Boston. So it does affect the standing obviously a little but if you're going to win you have to play the best anyway. I wouldn't rest them tomorrow. I would probably rest them for St. Louis though. The Blues like to beat people up and why take the chance of risking an injury.

I understand that but the only reason I bring this up is because Z & E won't be ready for round 1. The Wings we saw tonight is the team that will be for game 1. -

You guys are forgetting Malkin didn't play. Not sure if he's going to be ready for the playoffs or not but he's an ENORMOUS factor. I would have loved the win to cap off a great night though. 23 years it is. Go Wings! -

I agree. I know wins are not easy in the NHL but the Wings should be running circles around this Sabres team they have on the ice tonight. But I guess a win is a win if they pull it out.
