Hawks are just too good. They're just too damn good. -

Patrick Kane with the assist. This guy is unreal right now. Doesn't look good for LA. I can't believe they didn't finish this series yet. -

I hate to say it but if Chicago wins the cup again which after tonight I think they will, they're going to make people forget what the Wings have done in the past two decades. They'll be the first to repeat since the Wings and their 3rd cup in 5 years. I'm really ******* pissed LA couldn't finish them off. -

I'm so jealous of the Kings right now. They're about to knock off our three biggest rivals we had in the Western Conference. Sharks, Ducks and of course the Blackhawks. Wow. I would have loved for the Wings to do that on their way to the SCF. This Kings team is something else. -

Habs are done without Price in my opinion. Rangers are going to advance to the finals. I just really hope the Kings can somehow beat the Hawks. I want a NY-LA Stanley Cup Final. -

Kings fans are chanting "HILLER!" and he's not even in net. -

Oh and I thought I'd share this with you guys. Pretty cool stat that probably a lot of us don't know. Numbers Never Lie @ESPN_Numbers 59m Canadiens just won their 14th Game 7, which ties Red Wings for MOST in NHL history. -
ECSF : (4) Montreal Canadiens vs. (1) Boston Bruins

I'm definitely not taking anything away from the Canadiens. It did go to game 7 so I wouldn't necessarily call it a "whooping." I actually believe Chicago is better than Boston. Presidents Trophy don't mean s*** to me honestly. Chicago was banged up towards the end of the season and didn't have Kane, which has probably been their best forward. I think Chicago has better forwards than Boston and their defense is more solid. The B's had a bunch of rookies on the blue line, Chicago doesn't. I mean it's all just my opinion and pure speculation so who knows. EVERYONE picked Boston to win the cup and look what happened. -

If St. Louis would have done their damn job, I'd be on cloud 9 with the Hawks, Pens AND Bruins out. Out of all the teams left I wouldn't mind seeing the Rangers win the cup. I doubt that'll happen though, I just don't see anyone beating the Hawks honestly. Maybe LA or Anaheim can but Chicago is too good. Anyone but the Hawks, please. -
ECSF : (5) New York Rangers vs. (2) Pittsburgh Penguins
SimonSin replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
So happy the Penguins got knocked out. I cannot believe that team is having the troubles they do with all of that talent. ONE goal for Crosby in 13 playoff games, that's unacceptable. My whole mother's side of the family lives in New York and I've been there a million times. I was texting back and forth with my cousins. I really want to see a NY-Minnesota finals. Not because it would be the most exciting but I don't like any of other teams besides those two. God I hope the Wild can somehow knock off Chicago. I will cry if Chicago wins another cup. -

Kings are looking impressive once again. The year they won the Stanley Cup was amazing. That was probably one of the most impressive runs of all time. Going up 3-0 in the first three series was something you don't see often. They're really the only hope of knocking off the Blackhawks. And the Ducks are showing their true colors, Perry & Getzlaf are relied on too much and don't have the depth to go all the way. Anyone but Pittsburgh, Chicago or Boston, please. Go Kings! -

I cry a little bit inside everytime Marian Hossa scores a goal. Chicago is just really good. No chance Minnesota beats them. -

Where are those people on here that say "PK Subban is overrated" "I don't want him on our team, his attitude is s***." I'm starting to think that we need some guys with "bad attitudes" on this team. It's tough to win in this league without heavy hitters and guys that want to knock the other guys heads off. On another note, there were racist remarks on Twitter from Boston fans about PK Subban. I'm starting to really, really hate that Boston fan base. Their sports fans are really arrogant with the success of all their teams lately. They're annoying. Anyway, good game, Habs look pretty good. -
I agree. I really hope Kenny pushes for him hard. He'll definitely be one of the most targeted guys come July 1st though.
-
There's nobody out there like Shea Weber. Shea Weber's don't come around too often either. And 5 million is a big difference from 8 million. I think if the Wings could get Niskanen for around 5 million a year, they should do it. No matter how you look at it, he's going to get a raise and he's sort of what we need RIGHT NOW. I honestly don't watch too many Pens games so I couldn't tell you if he's overrated or not but he just seems like what we need. I could be wrong though.
-
I think the Wings should push really hard for Matt Niskanen. I made a thread about this a little while back and the guy is producing in the playoffs. He seems to be solid defensively and he can score. 27 years old, right handed shot. When he hits the market he's going to be that really hott chic at the club that every guy is after. He's definitely going to get 5-6 million a year. He would be a huge upgrade on the blue line.

I don't think Vlasic is going anywhere. Even the NBC guys were saying Vlasic going down is one of the reasons the Sharks blew it. If anything I think Thorton or Marleau could get traded.

I was just going to say the same thing. Nyquist and Tatar showed me nothing. I'm sorry but if these guys are going to be the Wings "saviors" it really didn't show in this series. -

You know why Lucic speared Dekeyser? Because he can and no one was going to do s*** about it. And on top of that, he comes back and scores big goals. This s*** isn't about "class" people. It's about winning Stanley Cups. You have to do WHATEVER it takes out there. If you have to literally HURT the other team, you do it. We're WAY too ******* soft. Our team is seriously a bunch of *******. Teams like Boston can do whatever they want against us and we can't do s*** about it. I said Bruins in 5 or 6 before the series started so I'm not surprised one bit. Anyone who actually thought we were going to win this series was completely blind. -

I've never been so not excited about a Wings playoff game before. -
Right. Maybe San Jose though. I'm just not sure if the Sharks are that good or the Kings aren't. But it really does look like it's going to boil down to someone we hate with a passion.
-
Doesn't matter which way it goes it looks like someone is winning the cup this year that we don't like. I was pulling for the Blues to win honestly. But then again I don't like anyone but the Red Wings. As long as it's not the Bruins, Blackhawks or Pens.

They're CLEARLY just the better team. This game should have never gone to OT anyway. I can't believe Marchand missed those open nets.
