I really like how our lines are looking... Helm-Pavs-Tats is such a good line Totally agree with the Glen/Miller post. Every time someone comments that Miller is expendable and doesn't add anything I shake my head. These guys are the reason our record is what it is. We're top 10 in Goals for, Goals against, Goal Differential, Penalty Kill, and Power Play. Tank it

It's been only 6 games, but during the off/preseason fans on LGW were bemoaning how bad our defense was. Well I think it has been pretty good. Of course, it helps that our goal tending has been great and many of our forwards are playing good defense, making it easier on the defensemen... but here is how I rank our defensemen's play thus far: 1. B.Smith - he has been awesome on both ends 2. DD - most consistent in the D-zone 3. Kronner - solid, with some turnovers 4. Q - has played pretty fricking good and is competing 5. Glendening - has played better D that the last two 6 (tie) - Kindl/Ericsson - flashes of good play, followed by some head scratchers. I think Kindl has actually out-played Ericsson

If we continue to play the way we have been playing we will win more often than not. Pav and Z were just having fun with Buffalo during the 3rd and OT. If we need to a better job of finishing our opportunities (Jurco) but I have faith that will happen. Prediction: this is Babcock's year to win the Adams, and he will make $1B/yr on his next contract

Agreed. Man, that one sequence where Quick stood on his head... I would have loved to see one of them cash in. Totally agree that Jurco has a way higher ceiling... just need to get him going.

Truth. If he is out, I would rather see XO come up and play over Lash. With Mule coming back I would like to see this for 2 periods: Guz - Z - Mule Helm - Pav - Abby Nesty - Sheahan - Tatar (I think Nesty is outplaying Jurco right now) Andy - Glen, Glen-Glen-Glen - Miller Kronner - Smith DK - XO E - Kindl Then in the 3rd change the top 3 lines Z - Pav - Abby (Abby is earning it) Gus - Sheahan - Tatar (this line was hot tonight) Mule - Helm - Nesty One of the benefits of not having a lot of turnover is we can change up our lines and still have decent chemistry

I think Datsyuk only got 3 official takeaways according to ESPN, but that might not be correct. Totally agree with you. You could see how much trouble we started having getting the puck out of our end when Q went down. He has been good this year.

Totally agree with you... no chance we're trading Smith - he's got upward trajectory and I has the DRW attitude to be a future leader. Howard is still our guy. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Next year we will have a two-headed monster in goal (sorry Monster) You have to give Holland credit for slow playing. This Weiss non-sense sucks, but at the time many people saw him as an upgrade over Val - I WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. I LOVE(D) VAL. But at this point it is what it is. At this point I saw we eat his salary and buy him out in the off-season. Here's what I want: Gus-Z-Mule Helm-Pav-Abby Tatar-Shehan-Jurco (this needs to be the 3rd line, not the 2nd) Andy-Glen-Miller (this has been a great defensive line and their chemistry has been amazing) Waive cleary when Mule gets back - he's never seeing the ice on this team.
