While this doesn't do anything for the Bolts problem of no D, Recchi did play well in Atlanta. 40 pts in 56 games, not bad for a 3rd-liner. With Tampa's top 6 set, why not add a cheap 3rd-liner who could put up 40pts?

Okay, assume Filppula is signed. Now at forward we have: Datsyuk Zetterberg Holmstrom Franzen Filppula Hossa Cleary Draper Maltby Sammy Helm Hudler Kopecky (Leino)? Unsigned: Downey, McCarty We have just as much of a logjam at forward now as we do at defense. I mean, how can Leino possibly make this team? How can even one of Downey/McCarty be retained, let alone both? Man what to do?

Check out the Video on TSN called "Money Talks." The Panal praises our organization tremendously including the contracts for Zetterberg, Kronwall, and Rafalski. I know that what they say doesn't matter, but its about time we got some credit. Props to KH!

I don't want Hossa for anything near what other teams are offering. I'd only want Holland to throw a ridiculous low-ball at him (like 4.5mil per) and say, "Hossa this is the price for the cup. We just won it without you so you have no leverage. Take it or leave it." That's all. No 7 mil contracts, we don't want Hossa for that money because that would cost Franzen AND Filppula. Hossa at 7 instead of Flip at 3 AND Franzen at 4? I'll pass and take my cup-winning team.

I would love to know who these "replacements" are going to be. If they get Sundin, they have him and the Sedins and no more offense. They will score 1.5 gpg.

Well we know this will not get decided until AFTER training camp, so we all must be patient. My money is on Qunicey getting moved, Meech staying at #7 and pretty much taking turns playing with Lebda and Lilja. Chelios will be #8 and I think will play fewer than 40 games barring injuries. Ericsson gets sent down to GR.

Well they really needed to keep someone. Nothing wrong with this deal, but Pitt still has SERIOUS holes to fill on offense. This is a start.

Someone will go before the opener. Probably right after training camp, they will decide who to move. My money is on Quincey being moved, Meech staying at #7, Chelios at #8, and Ericsson spending the year in GR.
