Guerin has always been a playoff non-entity. But I don't expect the Sharks to crumble.

Anyone happen to know if there's going to be an internet stream anywhere? I can Tivo it but I'll be on an island all weekend, at a research lab with no TVs, and I don't know if the bar in the little tourist town there will even be open at noon.

Heh, it's funny how butt-hurt some of you get when someone dares criticize your favorite player.

That's catatonia. Katatonia = a (killer) band from Sweden.

Thus ends the longest playoff OT shutout streak in history, and Giguere's 8-0 OT record. -

Kunitz sure thinks he's a tough guy behind that visor, heh. -
What a shot!!!!

Playing tentative in the playoffs and allowing yourself to be kept to the perimeter = no big goals in tight defensive games.

TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

If Langkow is still playing in Game 6, which would be a disgrace, then someone had better feed him his lunch. -
I read the thread title and think, "this is news?" Heh. Tortorella? F-bomb? No way.
-
Could be worse. That's a noon game for me.

Turn the puck over. Repeatedly. This is a total bulls*** move. Bench the rookie who's played hard and well (2 pts in 2 games) in favor of the floating WIMP whose one career playoff point came when he fell on his ass and Zetterberg took the puck.
-
Love his game, it's perfectly suited to playoff hockey.
-
Not like there's ever any traffic in front of the net when he takes his blue line wristers. This idea is sheer stupidity.
-
Important? Yeah, who else has his amazing and valuable ability to have a worthless 60 foot shot blocked and turn into a rush the other way? What exactly is he contributing there that Lebda couldn't do? Or Markov?
-
Who cares if he put up 5 points in a meaningless game against a team with nothing to play for and no defense to speak of? Of course he didn't do much, when you're too timid to go near the high-traffic areas and wilt under the slightest pressure when you have the puck, you're not going to be a playoff hero. Of course, if I were running things, there's no way he would've still been on the team this season...
-
Actually it's been gone since 2004.
-
Pure stupidity as far as I'm concerned, it's not like he provides some amazing offensive ability from there that offsets not having a defenseman in place, and he folds under pressure/turns the puck over every time.
-
Well, though he tends to wander, Turco's excellent at playing the puck, at least. Dom, you wonder why he even bothers...
-
I dunno, these idiots are kinda amusing me, actually.

The Wings better shut these guys up!
Aeothe Kaear replied to Zetterberg is the man!!'s topic in General
The Wings actually should've won the Pres Trophy in 2003, but choked it away in the last game of the regular season in Chicago (whew, and what a stinker that game was by Cujo)... they wouldn't have even played Anaheim otherwise. -
Yeah, he stood out as being particularly bad this year but the old boys' club continues unabated. Puke.
-
The fact that Calgary has more firepower and thus plays a more well-rounded game nowadays allows them to match up better with various teams, but I think it actually makes them easier for the Red Wings to play against. They've gotten away from that constant high-pressure forecheck which really frazzled most of Detroit's defensemen. Still going to be a tough series, but I would've picked the '06 Flames to walk all over the '06 Wings, and it's a lot more even this year. Looking for a great series...
