Checking in. On couch, beer in red wings cozy. Watching red wings live pregame show. Apparently Ovie was +/-: -5 last night. So he'll be "ready to pounce" tonight. 4-3 wings. Datsyuk franzen weiss probert with goals.

I dont question that hes hurt. I wasnt being cynical. Or atleast wasnt trying to be. I just think hes waiting until hes 100% healed so hes ready for sochi and will need a couple tuneup games to get back to speed. I wasnt implying anything against the guy.

Datsyuk will play one or two games before the break so no one can act like he was purely saving himself for Sochi. We all know his focus by now. This is a very big deal to him and understandably so. I hope z plays tomorrow, we could really use a win. Atleast based on whos skating at practice, it appears cleary n bert will be scratches!

This was a statement game. That said we could play a halfway decent team and win without zetterberg n datsyuk. And we get embarassed. Maybe next game when we play the Washington Ovechkins instead of the Philadelphia Fakers, we'll win again.

Btw this is one of the more upsetting games this year. One we really couldve/shouldve won but failed miserably. Were REALLY gonna give this bum Steve Mason a shutout??

Per St James: No Zetterberg or Datsyuk tomorrow. Andersson is a maybe but since they havent made any moves to send someone down it looks doubtful. Also, Howard is back off of IR. Which leads me to believe theyll roll the same lines as last game. But with Jimmy starting.
