All of this^^^ Weiss stepping up tn would make the HBO series truly unforgettable. As if it already isnt.
-
All of the city/league will be watching Weiss throughout the next 3 games as he gets 1st line C duties for more than likey his only chance of the season. This will undoubtedly solidify many peoples opinions on him for the rest of his time here. REALLY HOPING HE STEPS UP!
-
Lol pretty crazy, $10m in cap space could sign us some SERIOUSLY GOOD players..
-
That brings pasha back tues vs Fla or thurs vs tampa. WOOOO
-
Expecting a close game. 3-2 wings. (Mule, weiss, tatar) with goals.
-
Heres a nice little article reiterating his suckery this far. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1874909-stephen-weiss-is-playing-his-way-into-a-compliance-buyout-this-summer

The success of that lineup hinges on stephen weiss.

Do Quincey and Smith have a future in Detroit?
RedWang replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
Quincey wont be resigned. Kindl will more than likely be packaged in a trade if he continues to flounder. Smitty is here to stay. Im thinking this is next years D core: Kronner-E Dekeyser-Trade Acquisition Smith-Oullette/Almquist -
injured Zetterberg out at least 2 weeks with herniated disc
RedWang replied to 13dangledangle's topic in General
Pretty much if Weisser steps up and atleast partially fills Z's shoes and produces for the next 2 weeks were golden. If he continues to be invisible then say goodbye to our playoff spot for the time being. Losing our Eurotwins (combined 52 points) will really be a challenge for the team to win games. But this is the test of tests, can this TEAM step up without its stars? Its comparable to losing CHI(Toews/Kane), ANA(Getzlaf/Perry), PIT(Crosby/Malkin), TBL(St.louis/Stamkos) at the SAME TIME....what would those teams be without those guys? Not a whole lot. Im hoping for the best but certainly expecting the worst. -

So until berta back were lookin at potential lines of: Franzen-Weiss-Nyquist Abby-Helm-Alfie Miller-Andy-Tatar Cleary-Emmerton-Sammy. -

I agree entirely, i posted my theory about the schecule/dats injury in the dats injury thread. But as we learned with injuries to helm/bert/etc. theyd like pavs back within a week but its gonna be a real krap shoot as to how long it will ACTUALLY take him to be back in the lineup. -

I metaphoric terms, Just when we get the motor running we blow 2 tires. We now have 2 of those dinky little donut spare tires where a pair of european performance tires used to be... Time for Alfie, Helm, Nyquist, Franzen, and Kronner to pick up the scoring slack even more than they already have. Alot to ask. If both Pasha n Hank miss the winter classic I might sell my ticket. Also, as unlikely as it may be, I want to see Jurco called up as well. I feel like he'll dominate like Nyquist. He's bigger than both Nyquist/tatar and is just as fast with a better shot than both. Hes NHL size (somethin like 6'2/195 lbs), is a sniper, and has nasty hands. Certainly couldnt hurt. -
Smitty in that promo had me crackin up.
-
Perhaps put him in a blockbuster trade?
-
Well my combinations made my "special moment" even more special. Thats the only response i have, as you are correct.

So far ive heard people saying potentially signing Ovie, or Steen? If we could by some stroke of nearly incomprehensible luck, timing and a FAT salary hit, either one of those players on our team is by far one if the best teams ever assembled. Can you stop and think about these lines? Do it. Stop. And think about it... Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Ovechkin/Steen Nyquist-Franzen-Alfredsson Tatar-Helm-Jurco/Mantha Abby-Andy-Miller Kronner-E Dekeyser-Smith Kindl-Lashoff Now go clean yourself up, change your underwear, and go on with your day.

I think its funny that even in horseplay joe kocur made kris draper piss blood afterwards. No such thing as takin it easy lol. Tough SOBs they were.
-
Well the article says, he will need a week of practicing, which may start tuesday. So if he starts practicing tues/weds. He'll potentially be back by next thursdays game (see the months schedule, where we play TBL x2,PIT,ANA,TOR, arguably our toughest stretch of the season.) They're resting pavs while we play the nonplayoff contenders. Hoping he'll be ready to go for said stretch against the really good teams. HOPING im right.

This has zero relevence to dano, this team is 3 pts behind boston because of everyone BUT him producing. There is no positive argument for him in any way shape or form. Stick a fork in him, hes done.
-
Well, ive personally never been a fan of him, but some are. He at times shows flashes of promise. But more often than not just ends up blowing it in nearly every defensive aspect. Some say he needs more time before we call for his head, some want him gone altogether. IMHO if he was gonna be worth a damn it'd be more obvious by now (ex. Danny DeKeyser) As of now, where does everyone stand on this situation?
-
Idk if Hockeytown or Flashy did graphics for this GDT but I'll get it going early! Same lines as last game as far as I know. Monster in net. Lets get a win against these clowns FOR SWEET PASHA! 4-3 Wings. Goals from Alfie, Mule, Smith, Helmer
-
This line is a good thought on paper and offensively but there wouldnt be any size or grit on that line. Bert needs to be there to create space and provide some size/strength to really open up the ice for pav. Tatar is like a mini datsyuk and does well making plays/carrying the puck in for the 3rd line. Also top pairing defenseman will eat Tatar for lunch with their size/strength to easily take him off the puck. Just my opinion.

Great read, Thanks!!

Personally, i think his confidence is just low right now. Hes disappointed he got injured when his game was coming on, hes disappointed hes not performing how the organization needs him to, and hes disappointed hes on the 4th line with dumb and dumber. Thatll kill anyones game IMHO. If he plays with bert n Pasha on the top line for more than 3 games and produces nothing, then we can worry. But until hes given the top 6 role he knows and has thrived in, while being injury free and playing with the worlds best player, i wont rule him out. Cmon Weisser!!

They even spoke to him on NHL live last night and complinented him on stepping his game up and playing well. You know its not just us noticing his improvement when that happens.
