Exactly. They will probably both be leaving the league around the same time. Plus with the way the Wings work I don't envision them having a "stopgap" captain. I think if Kronner is on his last season or two when Z hangs 'em up then they go with a younger guy who can grow with the team and be around for a long time.

Regardless if we win or lose I'm proud of the kids for putting it to Pitt and giving them all they can handle. If we could make the playoffs and have fresh bodies back in the lineup the sky's the limit.

100% agree. Very easy to see that the captain has rubbed off on him in a huge way. He is like a mini Z out there. I think one part of his game that goes unnoticed is how rarely he takes penalties. Kid only has 8 penalty minutes in 43 games. What is it now like 25 points in 20 games? The kid is doing everything he can to carry this team down the stretch.
