Lol I was scared to get flamed for naming those equivalents but I'm gonna say Yandle, Evander Kane and Bickell from our 7 game series with the Hawks. Blech I didnt want to say Bickell but I can't think of a comparable to DMac. Physical guy who can make giant plays in the playoffs. Not Hofer's but I think that gets us the Stanley Cup. (Mrazek in goal)

Loved how they just walked off knowing Pavel wouldn't celebrate a non goal! He was awesome. That was the best I've seen our 4th liners play all year.

No, we are not a contender this year in my opinion. Box out our forwards and forecheck the heck out of our D and most teams take us out in the first or maybe second round. I'm enjoying watching the kids get better and my veteran favs this year so I'm not a hater or anything. I, like most here just think we need some ingredients to really contend. The equivalents of Mac, Shanny and Lids would do it in my opinion.

Nah I used my monocle it was easy. I think hockey Mom made a good point about the guys being sluggish. Luckily I think Z is going to start heating up even more and Pulks should provide a spark.

I think Tatar can handle himself pretty well in fights from what I've seen from AHL clips. I could be mistaken though It may just be wishful remembering.

I just remember Ozzy making solid timely stops in 08, a very calming presence. Also I think Franzen belongs in that group B Smythe crew with Pav and Ozzy. I've only been watching hockey since 96' but Z's performance was one of the best I've ever seen. Offense, defense, leadership. Im straying here but my favorite qoute/video was whe Mac interviewed Ozzy and asked how he felt beating the Pens and the refs in that series, with their stogies lol! Maybe that motivated the refs for 09?

It's been mentioned before but you never hear rumblings or hints that they might give him a look. What the actual blank is up with that. I really think we can afford one guy who's not great defensively to launch rockets at the net. That slapper at the very least will create some Juicy rebounds on the power play. -

Man I really used to get tired of the Franzen hate too but he's an embarrassment. Even Babcock said a game recently was his best in a really long time. No accountability at all, he should seriously be scratched at least as an experiment.
