This is what I was saying. Q being out could force Holland to make improvements, getting a #3/4 type guy, which improves us while Q is out and still helps when Q comes back.

I agree that Q has been great. If he's out for a long time though, Holland may make a trade to improve the blue line, and when Q is back, we'll still be better.

I guess I should have clarified that I meant everyone in the media.

Since Babs hasn't signed, everybody has been talking about him being the best. The broadcasters and journalists are the ones who vote for the award. I think Babs has a shot because his name will be on their mind as the I've that everyone's been calling the best all season. Plus, no one thought we even had a chance at the playoffs. Last two years we were fighting for a playoff spot, and this year we're fighting for top spot in the east

The sad part is, we won't ever be the underdogs to the media. If we end up in 3rd, and play the Habs, everyone will say they're the underdogs and need to prove themselves against us.

If we can trade Kindl for Petry, that's a win. Worst case scenario there, Petry doesn't work, we let him walk and we have a spot for a kid. Best case, he works out, we keep him, and let Quincey walk next season. Pair Petry with DDK, and we're better on the back end.
