Kenny seems to be mentioning more often about Larkin having a legit shot at making the team. Even when he's not asked about Larkin he brings it up. He has mentioned about Larkin being in the team only makes sense if he's playing solid minutes each game. If Blash believes that Larkin is ready now, he will be on the team. He would be centering the third line. Not facing other teams top lines. Its not like he'd be expected to match up against Toews, Crosby or Stamkos. With Dats out I believe there's an opportunity for Larkin to make the team. I'm betting Larkin himself sees the same thing. In the end he likely doesn't make the team and goes down to Grand Rapids which is good too.

I admit I never watched Pulks play in Grand Rapids where he seemed to score at will. I can only go by the games he played in Detroit and while I admit, he has one he'll of a shot, he was not very noticeable. He was easily knocked off the puck and seemed to lack confidence when he was out there. I chalk up some of it to being a rookie and it's only fair to see what he can do over a full season. I'm in the middle I guess. I'm excited for his potential to be a solid goal scorer but I can agree with what other posters here say about him. He needs work on his overall game.

To change things a bit...do you guys think that Larkin has a legit chance of making the opening night roster? Dats is out until December by the sounds of it. If Larkin has a great camp and tears it up in the exhibition games, I think he should make the team. Other years I recall Tatar and Nyquist having good camps but not making the team. This year Kenny sounds different. I think Larkin has a real chance of making the team if he is indeed ready and deserves it. I was thinking of some potential lines...
