I was wondering if anyone knew if the Joe was going to have the game on there or anything like buffalo is doing for games 3 and 4. Anyone have an idea?

He couldnt have said it better. The excitement of just making the playoffs is gone...the first 2 rounds to some fans are no more then some extra regular season games. They beat San Jose tonight and people will be willing to pay for 100 a ticket.

i woke up expecting a threat on him...He played very well for a first playoffs game...still played in OT...babs trusted him and it paid off...might not play again but it shows the wings future on D is very good

I know McCarty was out a while with a injury but is still out or a healthy scratch?

I was actually pissed listening to hull, a former wings player saying things like that..At no time was it appropriate to bring up datsyuk's feelings about the coaching staff and only causes tension in the locker room for the wings...also his pick of the wings being a team struggling in the playoffs was terrible....he has some beef with the wings organization obviously

I think its fair to say its easier to be a quarterback for Michigan than to be a goalie on the Wings. No fan of Detroit will ever be content with the goaltending that Holland puts out, hell i mean people still bitched when we had Hasek, Cujo and Manny...At the end of the day you gotta realize this is worse then beating a dead horse and that we have no say in what happens and we can just cheer for the one between the pipes on any given night and hope for the best

Other way around... Fans in Detroit know the game, in Carolina there are people just trying to understand what is going on, what offsides, icing, and all of that is. So when a player is on a 1 on 3 they seem to scream and go crazy like something might happen where as in Detroit fans sitback and evaluate the game. Its much better watching a game at the joe..its just louder at the RBC center in Raleigh b\c of the excitement of not knowing whats going on. Also the demographics they target in Raleigh is between the ages of 5-9...cartoons, mascot, and all that kid stuff. Detroit doesnt market cause they dont have to.

I was at the game as well...it was loud but i wasnt overly impressed. I go to about 15 Hurricanes games a year and there weakest croud was still better then the one last night...i think that has more so to do with the fans knowledge of the game down there compared to the ones up in Detroit. Either way it was a great game. Driving home in a mustang 20 miles and having your cousin say OH by the way the windsheild wipers dont work is a different story

yea i knew about the playoff bonuses but that 1.1 million just appeared recently...i didnt know that if he play a certain # of games in the season he got that 1.1 or they are already adding in the 1.1 as the max he can earn just to give a more accurate look at the cap situation
