The last two games are perfect examples of why several of us have been clamoring for more grit in the lineup for the past 5 years. We cant win in the playoffs on finesse alone. Games tighten up and get very physical in the post-season. Unless we have a stand on his head performance from Hasek to get us through the playoffs, we are going to get pushed around. We need some bodies out there to create space and do some hitting. We just dont win those grind it out games very well. You can debate that all you want, but go back to our last 2 playoff losses v Edmonton and Calgary and you'll see the truth.

I hope he stays with the Baby Pens. He's done a good job for them. He set up a NICE goal to Malkin at the game I went to earlier this year

Thanks for that clarification. I'll take a bruising forward over a finesse player who hasn't done diddly squat in the post-season any day of the week. We all know how well finesse players do in the playoffs. Datsyuk is a walk free agent anyways. Might as well get something for him now.

Thats one hot team out east. I dont know if they have the defense to go far in the playoffs but they are hot on the Devils' heels in their division. That's one fun team to watch play with Sid and Malkin, not to mention Staal.

The Pens are 14-0-2 in their last 16 games. I would think whatever line Sidney Crosby is on is the hottest line in the league at the time being.

Trade him now and you get a return. Let him go into the summer UFA and he walks without getting anything back. I would rather get a return on him for developing him then letting him walk. His agent screwed us last time he was UFA. I would expect the same this time around.
