Just another reason today why the NFL needs to take away Thanksgiving Day games away from a MISERABLE Lions franchise. This team has no business being on national tv like this every year. Enough is enough already. The fans with the bags on their heads was a nice touch though.

Bulls***. If Michigan gets a rematch and wins, its no different than Pittsburgh losing to Indianapolis in the NFL regular season last year then beating them in the playoffs. The BCS, like it or not, is college football's playoff. If Michigan gets their rematch and wins, then they are the National Champs under the system in place. I'd love to see them get their shot on a better field.

Rematches are NOT unprecedented. Oklahoma has lost the Big 12 title game and still played for a BCS title. I think Florida State has also played for a BCS title where they lost the last game. If the BCS is setup to put the two best teams playing for the title, then it has to be a rematch. I don't care what everyone else says, Michigan-Ohio State is the biggest money game out there. I think Michigan wins on a better field in round 2.

If the system is setup for the two best teams to play for it all, then a rematch is in place.

OSU earned it. Tressell had a damn good game plan. Spreading UM out 4 and 5 wide all game took them out of their strength and then they got hit with 2 huge TD runs. Michigan damn near pulled this one out, but the late hit was a stupid, stupid foul and probably cost them their chance to pull off the come from behind win. I hope their is a rematch. I dont think anyone else out there can bring it like these two did today.

RIP Bo You are a legend It's Great, TO BE, a MICHIGAN WOLVERINE

It should be a tight game. If Michigan's defense can create turnovers, Michigan will win by 10. I think the polls picking OSU to win are doing so based on the fact that they have been a wire to wire #1 team, yet Michigan has a higher ranked defense. Anyone who follows sports knows this cliche, offense wins games, but DEFENSE wins championships. LETS GO BLUE!!

You Buckeye fans better start practing the lyrics to the Victors. You'll be singing it early and often

Can't be worse than losing to the Raiders in a game where they didnt break 100 yards total offense and then winning a shootout v the Aints.....

My dad went to UM and saw Michigan beat Ohio State in like 69' or 68' to go to the Rose Bowl. My cousins are all going to the game from Michigan. Its going to be a hell of a battle. I think Michigan's D is very similar to that of 97', except the standout players are up front and not in the secondary like we had with Woodson. Michigan's D is too strong for OSU. GO BLUE!!

There is nothing in life I hate more than Ohio State This week is the countdown to a beating for OSU. GO BLUE!

Well my boys officially suck this year. You can't lead the league in turnovers and be competitive. I'd love to see them tank and get a top 5 pick but that's now how they do things in Pittsburgh. They'll still win a few ball games and be around top 12 in the draft.
-
Not a great perfomance by the maize and blue, but they'll take the W. They might have got caught looking ahead today. Manningham needs another week of action after only seeing a few plays today.
-
Hopefully this thread comes up all year. Lang being lazy is winning a few games for us all of a sudden

You'll see how legit WVU is this week.

He should have sat v the Raiders, but you cant sit him the rest of the year. He needs to learn how to play through the bad times just like the good times he had his first two seasons. Chalk this year up to a learning experience if they can't run the table, because thats the only way they get into the playoffs now. I was at the Atlanta game, and he played a great game before he got hit helmet to helmet. He's a damn good QB, but we are having major issues blocking up front this year. Our O-Line needs an upgrade or two. Its a disappointing season coming off two great years, but the accident, appendectomy and now his concussion caught up to Ben and we've had some injury issues that we haven't been able to overcome. I'll gladly take 1 down year to reload with some good draft picks because this football team can compete if they eliminate the turnover issue.

I think I get back from Pittsburgh on the 4th or 5th. Might have to pass on that one for the next one. But I am going to force myself to go to one of these games. I do get to see the baby Pens in person again though, with Malkin and Staal!
-
Sorry I was in San Antonio last week and then flew to Atlanta for the Steeler game. I'll have to get to one of these games this year. When is the next one?

I told you all this thread needs to become a sticky. I mean, the guy sucks right? He's effing clutch. Silence the doubters Lang. Robert Lang's third-period goal broke a tie and lifted the Red Wings to a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night.
-
The haters will let this thread slip into page 2-5 land until Lang has a bad game then bring it back up. Thats just how they do it here at LGW.com. At least it appears our goalie bashing threads are a thing of the past....unless Hasek gets hurt (knock on wood)

Seattle has only given up more points because of the blowout loss in Chicago. They are playing one dimensional right now without Alexander. Jacksonville is a solid football team but their offense leaves a lot to be desired and they just lost their 2nd defensive starter for the season. They will be a tough out and seeing as how they play in a weak division, they should make it into the playoffs.
-
Just sticky the thread already, give the haters something to whine about this year. Nice to see Lang come up big last night.

How do you lose your PA announcer to UFA? WTF?
-
Not sure about the Saints in the top 5 right now. I'd swap them out of your list and add in Denver with their defense. That gives 4 of the top 5 teams in the AFC, although an argument can be had for Seattle to be added into the top 5

It will be tough for the Pistons to overcome the loss of Big Ben. They still have a very good basketball team however and will be right in the thick of things come playoff time.
