This is why I no longer am enthused to watch college football. Oregon has routinely been screwed in the BCS system. They werent screwed by Notre Dame though, they were screwed by Florida State beating Virginia Tech in the ACC title game. The automatic births in title games leads to a non-BCS team taking a BCS spot from a team ranked in the top 6. The system is flawed and until they have a playoff I have no interest in it.

Its simple, beat OSU keep your job. Lose to OSU, lose your job. OSU fans remember the last guy who struggled to beat UM. They went out and hired a known cheater as their coach, brought in thug players and had the boosters pay for MO Clarett and won a tainted title. Lloyd better rough up the cheater's sweater this weekend.

I only wish the Lions could have taken care of Barry Sanders better. The gave him a bad deal by not putting anyone around him. The Ford's need to be more hands on with the team and really clear out the whole front office from Millen down to the scouts and start the whole thing over.

I wish we could draft Marcus Vick, he is a better passer than his brother and even though he has his off the field problems in the past, if he can keep his nose clean he could be a very valuable player in the NFL. Did you see what the Canes' did to Vick on Sat night? Holy crap he looked like a JV player.

When all else fails you build up your defense as a franchise and then put the pieces in offensively. Indy did that backwards and built a hell of an offense and then added defensive players. Detroit from the top down just doesnt seem to get personnel decisions very well. This goes back to when Barry Sanders was the greatest RB of our time and the front office never got him any linemen to block. Sanders got the bulk of his yardage without having a great line. Emmitt Smith got his yardage only because he had a great line. Its a shame the Lions squander all their talent. They are eerily similar to how the LA Clippers draft so many good young players but are never able to piece the whole thing together.

I think I heard the announcers incorrectly during that game. I believe they now said Reid would consider bringing him back but he had to meet certain conditions. I doubt they bring TO back.

I had great seats for that one, 11-12 rows from the ice and best of all free tix from my friend over at FOX Sports. It was awesome to see Hasek in person during the Cup year in 02'.

Well if they have another trip later in the year I dont feel so bad for missing it. I will have to make this one up and see about getting March 1st tix to the game. Last time I did a game at the Pond it was a 1-0 Hasek shutout and Robitaille got his 600th career goal. That wasnt a bad one to be at.

The Chargers have cap room to keep both....but team wise that would be foolish to pay that much at one position with only one guy playing.
