Game 2 demoralized the Angels. They weren't the same after that joke of a call. Props to the Sox for capitalizing on it. After playing 3 games in 3 days in 3 different time zones, the Angels gave it their all. The Sox proved to be the better team.

We have 0 picks through 4 games and Tommy Gun goes for 3 picks and a fumble on a handoff that would have sealed a potential GW field goal. There is no controversy over the call. Only homer fans are arguing over whether the clock should have expired. The sideline referee with 10 seconds remaining on the clock signaled for the clock to stop with the ball flying out of bounds. Where is the controversy? Oh, the ND score keeper let the clock run to zero as the fans rushed the field. That should have been a penalty on the home team and a first down for USC but it wasnt called. Doesnt matter, the better team won the game and the luck of the Irish ran out. Great game too. I think Leinart played it with a concussion as he was not the same player out there.

This one looks like its going to be ugly. USC should win this by 30+. Bush is friggin unbelievable Edit, you dont blow anyone out with those stupid penalties. Nice bounce back by the Irish.

Balls and strikes should never be replayed. They are all judgment calls and the umpires make those calls whether good or bad. Calling someone out by raising your fist and then allowing the play to resume because the batter, a catcher, worked over the ump is utter BS. The Angels had a legit beef with that game. I predict Los Angels win the next 3 in a row.

What a complete bulls**t way for the umpire to take away a game. MLB should remove that umpire from the playoffs. That was absolutely a ridiculous way for a PLAYOFF game to go down.

I dont know how badly Reggie Bush was hurt v U of A but if he is healthy USC should win by at least 2 TDs and possibly more. Its hard for fans to note this but as a player you sometimes play down to the level of your competition, which isnt always a good thing as you can get lulled to sleep and upset. I see this happen in all sports every year. Teams do not always bring their A game even when they are clearly the better team. If USC brings its A game they will whip Notre Dame.

Oregon ran a fun 'n' gun Steve Spurrier type offense with Harrington. They were explosive on offense. If they did call that the west coast offense then they put up a ton of numbers in it

OSU still has another loss or two looking them right in the face around the corner.

Have faith in your team. Hell, my team, at halftime right now, is only down 7 to USC.. I mean, in the end, THEY SHOULD blow us out, but, I won't quit on my team. Have faith young lad. U of A played a damn good game. I think USC would have done more damage is Bush didnt tweak his knee. He took off on that long run in the 4th and that usually is a TD but he got caught from behind. Still, USC put up 700 yards and only 42 points. Thats means the Cats' were able to keep them out of the end zone and create some turnovers. Stoops is doing a good job down there. Things will only get better with time.

It kind of makes me sick how everyone kisses their a$$ so much. They're not invincible - I say they lose at least a game in the regular season this year. It's easy to be undefeated if you play the Stanfords of the world every week. If USC played on the East Coast and had to play the three Florida teams every year (Miami, Florida, and FSU) they wouldn't go undefeated. Such are college schedules though....I'm pulling for anyone who plays against them so I don't have to hear about them anymore.....Go Wildcats! Go Irish! This may be a shock to you West Coast haters because the East Coast bias is in fact a TRUE factor the west coast teams have to fight against....but the PAC-10 conference has won more NCAA titles than any other conference in college. Quit hating on the west coast because our games aren't always on at noon or 3 in the afternoon. If our games even get televised late on Saturday for you west coast haters, stay up and watch them because their have been some great players come out of the Pac-10 in a lot of different sports. Basketball, football and baseball....not to mention the best golfer in the world Tiger Woods......a former Stanford Cardinal! USC destroyed Oklahoma last year. They beat down Michigan the year before that. And I forget who they played in the bowl game the year before but they beat them down as well. They are legit and their is NO HYPE about them. They are the real deal.

You can sit here and imply s**t all day. Bottom line, IF the Spurs had finished off the Lake Show they wouldn't have gone down in 5 like the Lakers did. You would have had a series to watch. Who wins? We cant go back in time and change that. It is what it is and props to the Pistons for dismantling the Lakers. I'll stand behind my statement with the Spurs of this decade. To date the Spurs of the new millenium are the best team. The Lakers have more titles to date but San Antonio is clearly the best team and they look like they will be better this year. Again you all are putting words in my mouth. The Lakers were lucky not the Pistons. The Pistons handled business and won their title. There wasnt any luck associated with whipping the Lakers. Fischer hitting a fall away three at the buzzer in San Antonio was a$$hole lucky. Try that shot 10 times and see how many of them you hit. The Lakers were depleted with Shaq hurt and without a doubt the best power forward in the game's history out with a knee injury (Mailman). Injuries are a part of the game and you have to be able to take advantage of an injured opponent.

Memo to those waiting for SC to get beat. The only team that beats USC this year is USC. They are F------ LOADED! Pete Carroll is by far the best coach in college football. Remember, this is an NFL mind in a minor league (from the NFL). He knows how to rah-rah his kids. You might want to UA 25-30 points at USC. No disrespect to the Cats. They can Bear Down on SC come basketball season.

You had the same problem reading Matt's posts in the MSU-UM thread. Re-read what I typed and do NOT interpret. I didnt say the Pistons were lucky. I said FISCHER and the LAKERS were lucky. Otherwise the Pistons aren't facing a depleted Laker team in the Finals and they are facing a very healthy and defensive minded San Antonio team. Bottom line: the Spurs are the most dominant team in the league and it all starts with the best player in the league, Tim Duncan. They obviously need to win a few more titles this decade to be held in the same breath as the Bulls of the 90s. I stated that the Spurs ARE SIMILAR to the 90s Bulls in that they have a great starting lineup but to take that even further they have great coaching, great stars and great role players. Same formula every championship team has, not just the Bulls.

FYI: The Spurs have the best starting lineup in the NBA. The Spurs are very similar to the Bulls of the 90s in that they are the best team bar none. If Fischer doesnt hit a lucky ass three v the Lakers then the Spurs would have won in 04' and not the Pistons.

I give Notre Dame a 10% shot, and only because of their coach. USC will run the ball right down their throat. If that doesnt work they have the best college QB with a compliment of great receivers. Oh by the way, that USC defense is the most under rated in the country. They practice against the best offense in the country every week and they can flat shut you down.

I did a damn fine job of not watching baseball this season. A few observations though. San Diego is a joke The Angels OWN the Yankees. Boston v Chicago should be a damn fine series. Atlanta needs to step up and add another ring to their 14 division titles. Houston barely made it in but they have pitching, which is always dangerous. They wont do as well as they did last year with Beltran. St. Louis is going to be tough to beat again this year. They have to be the favorite going in but they just got flat punched in the mouth last year. How do they respond if that happens again this year?
