    Zetterberg Autograph?

Looks like I am going to have to go to training camp! Hey, any excuse to go to Traverse City is a good one.

    Chi is SOOO Screwed

This is not a good comparison. Scott Gomez has won 2 cups and despite some setbacks has had a pretty stellar career. Campbell was never as good as the hype.

    Mike Brown's hit on Hudler

4 minutes. There was just a little bit of blood goofball.

    Mike Brown's hit on Hudler

Hit to the head, that has no place in today's hockey. I love a good hit, and granted, Hudler is moron for not having his head up, but Brown needs to hit the body not go up high like that. Suspension. No brainer.

What does everyone think of Ballard's hit on Malkin?

Fair enough, but having one of your best players going to the penalty box for 5 minutes and while on a power play doesn't make a lick of sense to me.

What does everyone think of Ballard's hit on Malkin?

Dumb, just dumb. Back in the day, would I want Steve Yzerman fighting somebody for putting a hard, clean hit on Fedorov? Heck no! I agree with the announcers, you don't fight somebody for a clean hit. A dirty one, absolutely. In hockey, you retaliate with a nice clean hit of your own!

NHL should switch to a "Soft Cap"

I think what irritates people, myself included, is that I don't think my team should have to spend less because other teams aren't bringing in as much money causing the overall revenue levels to drop. If my neighbors income level drops, I don't have to spend less money if mine stays the same!

Osgood is the worst starting goalie in the league

Granted, our defense does not look nearly as solid as last year, but what the heck happened to the Ozzie of last year!!!??? The thing that was great about him was that he just didn't give up soft goals last year. He wasn't perfect, but he didn't make any glaring mistakes. It's the exact opposite this year, mental mistakes, technical mistakes. It just doesn't seem like his head is in the game.

    Weight's big hit on Sutter

What a knucklehead. It's too bad he had to get hurt, but come on! He practically made it impossible for Weight NOT to hit him in the head. He put his head right down into Weight. Silly play.

    So who's it gonna be?

So, after the preseason, who deserves the last spot? In my humble opinion, I just don't see how you can't get Leino and Downey in the lineup. I know Helm has played well too but at age 21, he can gain a heck of a lot playing in GR. I know there is only one spot, but it's a crime not to get both of these guys on the team. Push comes to shove, keep Downey. He adds an edge to the team that no one else does and he is a hell of a team mate who is great for the locker room. What do you think?

    Replacement for Drake

I have always been a Peca fan. You have got to respect a guy of his size who plays and hits as hard as he does. With that being said, I don't know if he'd be willing to accept a diminished role on the Wings but you never know.

The Edmonton Journal is full of idiots

If I was in charge of the Red Wings I'd send an octopus with $10,000 and tell them they can shove it up their collective asses. Ridiculous.

    NHL's disappointing players

Whoops. Let's try that again: The next Mike Richter. He was alright. Actually one of my favorite goalies, so I should probably remember his name

    NHL's disappointing players

What did ever happen to Blackburn? He was being touted as the next Mike Dunham for a while there and now where is he?
  16. No one's really talking about Markov. That guy is relentless along the boards! It was a great sight to watch seeing Markov make all their forwards think twice about chasing the puck along the boards. I actually thought Lilja was better from a pure defensive point (that is really weird to type) but Markov provided a huge physical spark.

    Steve Moore interview

I don't know how anyone can watch that video and not be disgusted. You can try to justify it any way you want, "he didn't mean to hurt him that bad, etc, etc. But Bertuzzi made such a poor reckless choice that cost another guy his career and could've frickin killed him. I just can't respect a guy like that.
