That's taking it too far, IMO. If a man's willing to get in front of a 95MPH slapshot to keep his team from being scored on, that takes a massive set of balls (hopefully hidden behind a well built cup), and you shouldn't take that out of the game, one foot, two feet, no feet, whatever. You want more scoring, just make the damn net 2" bigger all the way around. How many of these post shots would be goals? That's all it'd take.

Que? So by that logic a Red Wings Yzerman jersey with the number 91 is just as good. This is from the OFFICIAL NHL SHOP, and they bungled it. And plenty of other things, too. I haven't ordered a single thing from them, my site of choice is river city sports. There are many others that do far better work on jerseys and the screwup ratio is far less.

Goalies coming from the crease to center ice is said to be too time consuming compared to the apparently more mobile forwards and d, so it's in the rulebook that they can't be captains. Things were not always this way. With a name like Creasemonkey, it's my job to know this.

New plans for Tiger Stadium include leaving the field intact, not tearing down the entire stadium, and turning what's left of the building into a sports museum. This is the best idea I've heard yet for it. The only question is how will they come up with the money? Story

I'm in both boats. Wings looked flat for more than half the game, they were outworked, etc. However, if not for the s***ty officiating, they'd have still had a chance. First goal makes a lot of difference. The fact that they were outplayed most of the game, and the fact that the game was STILL closer than the scoreboard lets on due to terrible officiating, gives me the belief that it's Wings in 5. They'll be pissed when they get home, pissed enough to make sure they don't go back to Dallas, that's for sure. Provided that ****** O'Halloran is nowhere near the Joe.
