Considering our depleted backline, I wonder who Buffalo would take for Campbell. He's too expensive to re-sign, and I'm not typically a rental advocate, but something has got to be done about that.

I've been wondering what they'd do about Fisch's number. Are they waiting until he decides to officially hang them up? I know he's holding out hope he can play again.

This isn't the first time I've seen something along the lines of "Somebody should Zednik (insert opposition player here)", or "It'd be nice if so-and-so got Zednik'd" and it makes me sick to my ******* stomach. Phaneuf deserves a beatdown, maybe a crosscheck to the teeth, but come on. Maybe you should think twice before you drink and type, and if you haven't been drinking, you should consider not talking anymore. To anybody.

Now that Lidstrom will likely be out, Ericsson would be nice to see. Keep Lids out until game 78, let him rest, give him five games to get back in shape. -

Some of us just like to have a clean shirt on so we can get near one.

I've got 13 of em, and I get them all dry cleaned at the end of each season. I always wear a t-shirt underneath, so it's not like they're nasty/sweaty. Spills or stains warrant an emergency trip to the cleaner, but other than that, just once a year.

Ouch. That was old school blow it in the 3rd Wings hockey right there, and against the Kings no less. That playoff loss is still fresh enough in my mind for that to sting a little bit.

Considering we have four players in the game (and if I overheard correctly during the game last night, Osgood is starting too?) maybe the league thought the Red Wing lovefest had gone on long enough and tossed Iggy a bone. Who knows.

Now that NHL Network is on DirecTV, I avoid ESPN at all costs. I don't have to sit through 42 minutes of basketball highlights to see 20 seconds worth of NHL.

NHL network said they'd be showing the game to US viewers, showed it briefly and then cut away and I haven't seen it since. (I have DirecTV) If all they're going to do is show the damn FSN Detroit feed via NHL network(which they AREN'T EVEN DOING), why can't we just watch it on FSN Detroit? -
Koci knew he had a broken nose already prior to getting in that fight, it was a choice he made. He knew what could happen, and the worst occurred. Why don't they ask Koci about it or at least get the facts straight before they start jumping up and down on their soapboxes?

I, and likely every other DirecTV subscriber, have the same problem. Thus far there's only been one or two games total simulcast in HD on those channels (throughout the NHL). Sounds like a good question for DirecTV, actually. -

If I lived in Michigan and within an hours drive of the Joe, I'd likely try and make it out to about 20 games a year. If the imminent birth of my child didn't fall at the same time as the winter west coast road trip, I'd be driving to either Anaheim or Phoenix to catch a game this season. Unless of course I couldn't afford it, and that would also likely be the case if I lived in Michigan. The power bill has to come before Wings tickets, even for the die-hards.
