There are lot's of people that love Holland and Babs, and many that don't. I try to remain neutral or at least objective, and I really believe that they're both being sincere right now about the youth movement. It may be out of necessity, but that doesn't matter. The end results are all that count.

Because Miller's season was so much better than Howard's? Last I checked, he went from the basement dwelling Sabres to the first round choke-stacks, the Blues. If Miller had played with Detroit this season, there's no indication that his numbers would have been any better than Jimmy's, and not much chance that the Wings would have had any better fate. The only way Howard gets traded is if Mrazek steals his job in the next few years.

It doesn't matter that Bylsma won a round. Regular season award. I think Detroit's injuries (mainly to Z and Datsyuk) were worse. Also, Crosby's going to win the Hart and Lindsay. That's basically the writers crediting him with Pittsburgh's success. Plus, even with the injuries, all any voting journalist had to do was look at the rosters to see that Pittsburgh were the better team all season.

Legwand not being brought back because with Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Weiss, Sheahan, Helm, Glendenning, and Andersson, there's no room at center. There would have been no room for Jarnkrok either. This trade was a wash. The only beef any logical Wings fan could have with the Legwand deal is that Calle could have been part of a better deal this offseason for that coveted top four D-man.

I don’t think any intelligent Wings fans actually thinks this. But there are Wings fans that, angrily, will denounce Holland and covet Pittsburgh’s management. Those people need to be reminded of the circumstances that lead to Shero’s current success as a GM.

Detroit and Pittsburgh both sucked in the 1980s. Yzerman went to Detroit, Lemieux to Pittsburgh. That’s a wash. Even. Both teams did well. Except the Red Wings continued to do well while Pittsburgh took a nice long s*** bath for 10 years. They tanked so bad they were able to draft Crosby and Malkin. The Wings never had that benefit. Since we’re being all cute and retro: how about the fact that the Wing’s 10th overall pick in 1991(Lapointe) hasn’t been improved upon since then. We draft 15th or 16th this year. How.many.top.10.picks.have.Pitts.had.since.1991.?.

Adding Sproul, Niskanen, and Pulkinnen to the team next year would help.

This is so true. A bad Wings fan is someone who leaves the game halfway through the third, or complains about the current goaltender. A bad Bruins fan (much like the Flyers) is just plain "bad people".

The fact that Price played out of his mind and the Bruins still got three while Rask's performance was mostly ordinary, does not bode well forMontreal unless they improve in front of Price.
