Murray is waaaay better than Ian White. Anyone thinking Detroit could get any kind of return on white is huffing gas. Murray went for a 2nd round pick. White might get a 4th. For that return, you hang on to White for extra depth I believe.

I agree. Shero's a smart hockey dude that's not afraid to pay the price for talent. But, to be fair, he has a team that are/were only a few tweaks away from being a top 2 or 3-team favourite. Holland has more holes to fill than that, and last time I checked this team hasn't gone on any 12-13 game winning streaks or whatever. Know what I mean?

How heavy was Z in his rookie season? In fact, he and Datsyuk got rag-dolled in the playoffs until 2007. I expect Jarnkrok to take several years playing in the NHL before he reaches his physical potential. Not to say he'll be as good as those two. Jarnkrok won't be eligible to play in the NHL this year. Only the AHL as per his deal with the SEL. I'm thinking he can't be a Black Ace. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Part of it’s coaching. In OT Kindl was in tight and had Datsyuk coming, wide open. Rather than attempt a pass to Pavel, Kindl threw a low % shot at Dubnyk’s feet. He was sacred to be creative because that means taking a chance and possibly turning the puck over, which would have been bad news because he would have been caught deep. That’s coaching. Babcock has the young guys terrified.

Considering this team passes like a Kia on the Autobahn this year, I’d say our standards here are pretty low. Hence “great pass by Franzen”.
