Yes (and 10 on the season) I was thinking the exact same thing. Come on people, what do you realistically expect from an 82 game season? If he stays healthy, the man's on pace for 40 goals. Edit to add: He also did some great work, along with Bert, on the boards cycling the puck in the third - eating up valuable time.

These are the lines Babcock was rolling when the Wings broke out in the third period of Wednesday's game against the Blues. The same lines that practiced yesterday. They are indeed the projected lines for tonight's game.

Agreed. But if two are hurt and one is long-term (god forbid), then, cap permitting, Smith will get the nod.

Kenny drafts. Kenny decides. The only benefit of having Smith play in Detroit right now would be to pair him with Lidstrom so he can learn from the best. But that wouldn't happen regardless. So let the kid play big minutes in the AHL, rack up a s***-bucket of points, win rookie of the year, make the all-star game and build his confidence (not that he lacks any). Edit: I do agree that Smith will get a call at some point this season to replace an injured player.

All time? CBC's Bob Cole is hard to beat. Thorne as well as far as US broadcasters go. Right now? Jim Hughson gets my vote.

Impressive: Smith, Emmerton, Mursak, Callahan, D. Axelson, Nyquist, Nestrasil. No so much: Anderson, Almqvist, Sheahan. The rest are on par with where they should be. Good crop though
