6M+ /season. Reasonable. Doesn't mean he won't be traded. I still don't know what happened to him in last spring's playoffs. He did not show up.

Back to the article: With all due respect to Mr. Kukla I'm going to have to lol at this one.

Who put Schneider on that list?

Panthers, Weiss agree on six-year, $18.6 million deal

Too much money. But not waaaay too much money. I think in 2-3 years this will be a bargain or at least fair value. What's with all these long contracts? I thought the idea of the Cap was, like the in NFL, to discourage long-term deals to get more out of players who would basically be playing on 2-3 year deals at a time. -
It's not a soldier, it's a Ancient Roman Senator.

That logo is terrible. Waaaaaaaaaay to cartoony. I like the rest of the design except the lack of stripe on the waistline.

Doug Brown was 17, and he was clutch. I wish Pesky had taken something other than 82.
-
So what happens next year? Lilja's contract is up. I assume they'll re-sign Lidstrom and Chelios....... Lidstrom Rafalski Kronwall Lebda Chelios Meech but Kindl will be ready. And Quincey. And probably Ericsson. So where does everyone go?
-
I think playing with the Leafs will be punishment enough for Bell. On a more serious note, Mark's career has been such a dissapointment. He was a very promising hockey player at one time.
-
If Lebda goes down before/during the playoffs, I'd bet my lunch that Kindl or Ericcson would be capable of replacing him.
-
1. Undecided 2. leaning towards no 3. yes, if they play him 4. NO. 35-40 5. No 6. Yes 7. Too early to say. But on the current roster, Rafalski, and Cleary maybe (if Draper's gone) 8. 20+ for Cleary 9. Marian Hossa in a non cap world, but in a realistic world, I could see the Wings getting a veteran like Scott Thorton or Steve Rucchin 10. Brian Rolston and Adam Foote. And Stu Barnes

Should have won that series.

No, you make it sound like I'm making it sound like that. If you've followed the Wings over the past few seasons you'll realize that Zetterberg's two major injuries came at the hands of Bryan Allen in Vancouver and Brad Stuart with the Flames. A slash and a cross check respectively. If these players are chasing Avery around, they may not have the time to key in on Hank. It was a pretty off-the-cuff statement, I was just throwing ideas around. edit: but Avery would easily score 25 goals playing with Zettreberg
-
Avery could easily chip in 25 goals on the 2nd line with Zetterberg as his pivot. edit: plus guys like Allen and Stuart would be too busy running around trying to kill Avery to bother with Zetterberg. Thus Hank might actually stay healthy

Screw Burke. I hope Edmonton offers him 5M per season. That would nicely hurt both the Oilers (if he signs) and The Ducks (if they match). edit: have the terms of the offer been announced? I can't open TSN's site.

What cheating goes on in the NHL, according to Sports Illustrated

And here I thought this article was going to be about Pronger's days in Edmonton. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing -
Grand Rapids bound?

Good boy Sergei. He was pissed. Fedorov rarely fought, but he wasn't shy about throwing his big frame around.

You guys are all insane. Up until now Howard is on the same path as Ryan Miller. Miller spent 3 years in Rochester. Compare their numbers. Howard: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=67804 Miller: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=45065 It wasn't until Miller's third season in 2004-05 that he really started to dominate. Howard is entering his third season this fall. And as Nill said, they know he can do it. He just has to do it. So I'm not sure where all the doom and gloom is coming from here. Correct

Well that is the good Robert Lang for sure. And there was lots of good in him for sure, as a Red Wing. BUT, are there any Youtube tributes of his giveaways and impartial play? Or does that exceed bandwidth?

Calgary would never trade Kipper to Detroit. Detroit would have to sign him next summer as a UFA. Also, lets wait and see how Howard plays this season in the AHL. It would be nice to have a capable #1 goalie in Howard with a small salary. It would be nice to see a young Wings team develope together (Filpulla, Grigorneko, Howard, Kindl, Helm, Abdlekader, Quincey, Ericcson, etc.)
