I would tend to think you what you think.

Like somone mentioned, they want a 2nd rounder and a prospect for him. The Leafs are really gunning for him too. TSN are reporting that originally, St Louis wanted a 1st round pick and a prospect. Nutzzzzzzzz.

Wings acquire Kyle Calder in 3-way deal
rick zombo replied to WingsFANstuckintheSOUTH's topic in General
I just read through this 15 page thread. I felt I had to comment. ANYONE that doesn't think this was a good deal is, simply put, a "casual" Wings fan. You obviously haven't seen many games on TV and haven't been following Williams play at all. And, as mean as this sounds, you don't know alot about the game of hockey. This was an good trade for Detroit. And I am overjoyed to see Williams go. Sorry for sounding like a dick. -

According to The Fourth Period, the trade has been finalized. All that remains is for Roberts to waive his no-trade clause UPDATE: TFP has learned the Pittsburgh Penguins have finalized a trade with the Florida Panthers in exchange for veteran Gary Roberts. The trade is not yet completed, as Roberts must agree to waive his no-trade clause. Details to follow... http://www.thefourthperiod.com

Sooner, in this case.

LOL Kronwall helped him get his driver's licence? Great, Flip Flop will be driving around hitting other cars when they're not looking.

Yep. From The Fourth Period: BREAKING NEWS: TFP has learned that the Pittsburgh Penguins are finalizing a trade with the Florida Panthers in exchange for veteran Gary Roberts. The trade is not yet completed. Details to follow... http://www.thefourthperiod.com

Ha, seems like yesterday that I started that thread. What's with all the yellow "the" s? Sidenote: I am not afraid of Dallas or Minnesota and I am more afraid of Calgary then I am of San Jose.

Trade for second-tier players are Wings' only option

With Modin you're paying for more than the 15 goals and 15 assists he's produced this season.

Tkachuck = 34 years old Forsberg = 33 years old Roberts = 40 years old. He may go for more than a 2nd, but I'd be suprised if he went for anyhting more than a 1st rounder straight up. But who knows. I'm convinced that a handfull of GMs have gone crazy.

It will be interseting to see what Florida gets for Roberts. I can't see Holland not being interested. If Roberts goes to Buffalo for a 2nd round pick or something, then you'd have to get the feeling that Holland really is serious about not making a deal that involves picks.

Any team but the #5 seed that is

Well Detroit is closer to Ontario.
-
You might take him, but a 5-11 170 lb 2nd line center adresses not a single thing that Detroit needs. He's all the things Detroit doesn't want at this stage. And no thanks to any of these guys.

WTF? Columbus were hoping for a 3rd or 4th rounder for Berard.

Perfect logic.

Where do you see St. Louis in maybe a couple years?

Q: Where do you see St. Louis in maybe a couple years? A: Still not winning the Stanley Cup ever. -
Very noble of Peters to remove his helmet after McGratton lost his.

Thank s*** for the Winged Wheel is all I have to say.

One foot remained on the ice. Clean hit. I love Kronwall. The end.

1270 Sports: Babcock says "players will be dealt"
rick zombo replied to The Enforcer's topic in General
Not that I'm in disagreement, but can you explain the logic behind this? How does MacDanald, a 3rd string goalie, going on waivers indicate that something else is going down? Unless they're trading for Biron. -

Eklund's reporting that he has heard stong rumblings that Tkachuk is Detroit bound. But he also adds it may be Guerin. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=5716 TSN is saying the Blues asking price remains high. A 1st rounder and a top prospect. http://www.tsn.ca/tsn_talent/columnists/darren_dreger/ Man, that's alot to give up for a rental. -
Poor Joey. He was a rebound machine. But I liked him alright.
