If he has such great leadership qualities, why did the Wild name him Captain and then trade him. You don't just trade your C unless things aren't working out. This cost him his job. And he was a poor head coach. Now back on topic. I say the Delmore thing is just Eklund rumor. No one else will be signed until the UFAs get taken care of.

We don't have the luxury of signing every player we want to. That is why we now have a salary cap. We need to get the best players that price will allow. Delmore is 6 ft 200lbs. This is not small. But he's not that physical. He's also an offensive defencemen like Lidstrom, Kronwall, and Schneider. With unimpressive +/- He's not needed in Detroit. I like to think the Wings brass has a plan, but this signing would seem very illogical.
