Fully agree. Can teams trade coaches? Babcock for Tipett.

I think that the league and it's players still view the Wings as a top organization. A new rink and a new coach will help as well.

I can't help it. I hate the teams in our division more now than I hate old rivals. The Hawks shouldn't adversely affect any Wings fans now any more than Tampa does.We just lost to Tampa and that makes me ******* hate them. I think that's a legit way of feeling/seeing things. -
Trade Howard for some help on D. Overpay Niemi to be Mrazek's veteran back-up, on a two year deal. Or keep Howard and Mrazek. And split starts. I'd be OK with either option.

I'd rather Anaheim or Chicago win the cup than Tampa or the Habs. That's what playing in the East has done to my soul. -
Holland's balls were in a vice because of the cap in 09-10. He lost Hossa, Hudler, and Samuelsson. He wasn't in a position to lure anyone. He could have traded Filpulla + Franzen for a young blue chip D-man and re-signed Hossa.

Less focus on who's not playing, and more focus on who is: Pavel freekin' Datsyuk. -
I just realized: at least Kronwall won't be able to deflect the puck past Mrazek, if this game goes to OT, like he did two years ago vs Chicago.
