Except for Bishop's bed pooping, I can't see Tampa playing any better than they did tonight. Detroit on the other hand. Plenty of room for improvement. Need more out of Nyquist, Tatar, and Sheahan, although it must have been tough for them with all the penalties. If Mrazek can stay dialled in, this series could be a nightmare for the Bolts. -

Not a single sports writer is picking the Wings in this series. I like it. -
Well Marchenko hasn't really done anything dumb yet. So until he does, he's my guy. If Smith can take his job back at some point, then good for him too. I personally have no agenda here, I just want the guys to play that give this team the best chance of winning. For me, saying "He screwed up" seems a lot easier than issuing a laundry list of excuses.

I could see a forward getting hot like that long before I could see the D being physical and mistake free.

Exactly right. Personally I'm hoping more for a "2010 Halak" type scenario. That Montreal team was not overly tight or physical. At least not like Anaheim in 03, Calgary in 04 or Edmonton in 06 were. Halak beat Pittsburgh and Washington almost by himself.

Both goalies have issues, but IMO the tiebreaker is Mrazek's ability to handle the puck.

I know you love Petr and all, but with the other Mrazek thread plus the "what will our lines be vs tb" thread, this seems a little self-serving or something. Just my 2 cents.........

I expect Montreal to win at least one round. After that, their lack of offense will be their downfall. Part of me would love to see Price run out of gas because they were so concerned with that stupid wins record. Should have rested him more down the stretch. -
Blashill and the Griffins management, in general, deserve a ton of credit as well.

Zetterberg. Leads team in points. 2014-15. Is healthy for almost a full season. 77 games played. When asked by reporters last night to respond to 'genius-best-coach-ever' coach's comments about "not thinking the team was a playoff team" back on July 5th said, with a grin, "you should have asked me because I thought we were a playoff team back in July" Yep. Complete fail. What a loser.
