Yeah that 4.75M he earns is really bloated. He stopped Kronwalling after Lidstrom retired because this team relies on him to a) stay healthy and b) he’s probably worried about getting suspended. I know I don’t want him out there running around looking for that hit.

It’s weird. None of the Coyote’s goals were that bad. Couple lucky bounces and Howard got caught deep on a bad PK turnover. But s***, 3 goals on 9 shots leaves something to be desired. Bizarre game.

I believe during some pre-season interview Holland said he was hoping for a best-case of 6 or 7 20 goal guys. Funny thing is, if I rememeber correctly, he figured two of those cats would be Franzen and Weiss.

Actually the Suter fail was the previous year. Holland let Filpulla walk and basically signed Weiss for the same amount and term. I don't compare Filpulla to Nyquist or Tatar. I compare him to Weiss, for obvious reasons. Now I'm no expert, but I think Filpulla > Weiss.
