In fairness to Frank, he didn't say we needed a goalie, rather a defenseman. Chicago's D is one of the best in the league and probably makes their forwards look better. Pittsburgh's D has not been as strong and neither has their team when compared to Chicago. I agree with you though, balance is important. and good teams have it. I also agree with Frank. Holland has to fix the D first. I think most people agree with this as well.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t the same be said for most teams? If you score 3+ you’re probably playing pretty good and you’ll probably win more often than not. If you’re scoring 2 or less, you’re probably not playing as well and you’ll probably lose more often than not. It’s like saying, “when I don’t sleep well, 80% of the time, I’m tired the next day”.

People acting like Montreal are the superior team. They’re on a hot streak. One thing I’ll miss if Babcock leaves. Exactly. Like a few weeks ago when Nolan ran Helm and Ericisson rag-dolled him with one hand. The other hand, of course, was busy thumbing his own ass. Or the Washington game when Smith nailed Chimera who then ran Smith later in the game and got a chest full of Abdlekader's shoulder. Later in the game he got leveled by Kronwall. These Wings are so soft because they lack theatrics.

I wouldn’t give up any first round picks for Myers. Not this year’s, not next’s. Mantha and Larkin are untouchable IMO. They were both first round picks. Image if Holland had traded one of those picks for Bouwmeester in 13.That was the first round pick they used to draft Mantha. Or how about trading last spring’s first, used to draft Larkin, for someone at the 14 deadline? This is why I’m glad Holland is our GM. He’s hanging on to these picks and using them to draft great prospects. Sometimes I think if LGWs had their way, we’d have Tomas Vanek and empty cupboards. So,, no to Myers unless Holland can grab him for cheap.
