Exactly. In two years: Kronwall - Ericsson Dekeyser - Yandle Ouellet - Sproul Jensen/Marchenko There are 3 righties in that group of 8.
-
Agreed. Which is why I said this:

Strong Penalty Killing, Lack of Scoring the Story of 2014 So Far

Try keeping that out of the blue paint though. You thought the disallowed goals were piling up now? -
Yeah. One thing to remember is that this team has a legit top line and a legit 4th line. The 2nd and third lines are quasi/interchangable. Tonight, for example, Helm's line could get more icetime than Sheahan's. Ultimately though, the problem I have is that if this team were ever to get a legit 2nd line center, a Kesler type guy, the guy Weiss was supposed to be, where in the hell does Helm go? The only place you could put him is on the 4th line. Zetterberg - Datsuk - Abdlekader Franzen - Legit 2nd Line Center - Nyquist Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Miller - Helm - Andersson Glendenning To me, he's under-used in this role. But that's the only place for him. One of these years, Kenny has to make some trades, especially with Mantha coming (hopefully) and maybe Pulkinnen next year.
-
Abdlekader is bigger, plays bigger, and looks at least for now like he has more going on offensively. I love Helm, but 10 times out of 10 I'm putting him here: Top 6 Helm
-
Yeah but Abdlekader is a big man. Helm isn't. I agree with rolling four lines and I think having Helm and Franzen on the third line helps make this happen.
-
Nah man. Teach 'em to shoot right first, then make them play left wing.
-
Well when the team you coach has like 11 centers or something, you have to be creative. My personal favouirte is no right handed right wingers.
-
Except for the fact that Sheahan has never played a single shift in the NHL as a winger.
-
He's only getting 2 tonight because he's on the third line. Just an 'OK' night for him vs Ottawa. He'd be good for his usual 5 if he wasn't on Helm's wing.
-
Agreed. But you have to concede that McKenzie is more than just "some jackass in the rumour mill". Because it's McKenzie, he very well may have been on to something. It makes sense, post-trade, for both the Wings and Jarnkrok to deny the rumours. I'm not saying that this is what happened. And I really don't care ultimately. But it could have been true.
-
Don't worry. Mule should be good for at least 2 tonight. The game is in Ottawa after all.
-
Sorry. Just a joke. To be fair, I believe Bob MacKenzie started the rumour based on what he thought were credible sources.
-
I heard that Jarnkrok was underperforming because he was spening to much time with Lisa Ann. Just a rumour, I have no credible source.
-
Obviously not. I see what you're saying. And to be fair Ribeiro and Roy were risky signings. I guess Poile was just trying to fill his cupbaord. The fact remains that Jarnkrok is way down Nashville's depth chart at the moment. He should be in Milwaukee right now.
-
Resigning Cleary is on Holland. Although it hasn't hurt the team much so far has it? Relegating a 50 point guy to the the 4th line is on Babcock. And this should be the end of this thread. This does beg the question: If Jarnkrok's so s*** hot that Holland needs to be castrated for trading him, why did Poile go out and sign Ribeiro and Roy?
-
While we're at it, how's that Matthais kid doing in Vancouver?
-
Oh well. Calgary's thumping the Habs in Montreal and Carolina beat LA. Detroit has some under-achieving company tonight at least.
-
Holy sweet s***. Buffalo deserved ZERO points that game. ZERO!!!!!! Instead they get two.
-
Not really Kip. Smith was definitely the number one culprit on that one, but they were all standing around like zombies. I thought it was Halloween all over again. Andersson had a chance to male a play at the Sabres blue line earlier in the shift and he was pretty nonchalant, turned the puck over and that started it all. It’s all good though, I’m not pissed or anything. I wasn’t trying to be confrontational either. I was being honest when I said I blamed all of them, including Howard.
-
I actually blame all six players on the ice for that goal.
-
And now Buffalo think they’re a hockey team.
-
Idiots
-
Need another goal. Outshooting them 2:1. Too close. We know how things went in Philly.
-
I get it. Detroit doesn't want Buffalo to draft McDavid because they are a divisional rival. So they’re going to give them 2 points tonight.
