I think I will cheer for our team to do that!

I had the same wrist injury. I hyperextended it and now things just aren't the same, mostly when I do my weight training though. No more curls for me.

It's not our fault your team isn't worth loving. Quit complaining.

Quick question regarding possible Cup Final "Rubber Match"
Seraph replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
The way Z was talking about that game seven loss, I don't think he or anyone else on the team would let it slip out from under their grasp again, especially against the Pittsburgh crybabies. I would look forward to best out of three for the cup to see who's better. Eff 'em. -

At least J-Ho will be getting his first playoff appearance against a team similarly lacking playoff experience. That way our boys can set the pace while he gets comfortable.
-
By now we usually have at least a few fans from the other team with some counter-attacks. Where are the 'yotes at?

Howard Becomes Yet Another Different Wings Playoff Starter
Seraph replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
The only thing Osgood will be starting is possibly warm-ups. Howard has earned his playing time. The first few games are going to be a critical period for him to make or break his confidence. I have no doubt Ozzie will be ready if we need to call on him. -
I'll bet Bettman will be sure to censor the crowd as much as possible, stopping the chants from being broadcast. If it's any indication that a team doesn't belong in a city, it's when the home crowd is cheering in full force for the away team during the playoffs.

This is a great thread for the talented individuals who have in the past put together our playoff "pumper upper" videos. I'd love to see another one this year!
-
The pass to set it up was way cooler, in my opinion.
-
Haha, that's actually funny, but sounds like something a chick would say to another.
-
My thoughts exactly. Let's see what he thinks after hitting a Kronwall at full speed.
-
Dats' goal was truly the best I thought. It was the only one that incorporated a bunch of skill sets. Staking, take-away ability, getting the goalie to commit, and then raising the puck. Pure skill.

I still love it. I just don't like the shot where it shows Stevie in the corner jumping up and down. They should have used an angle that focused more on him.

I really think Howard is the reason we have secured a playoff spot. At times, he even stole games for us (see the LA game in January with 50+ shots on net). As mentioned above, I don't feel nervous when he's getting shot on, which is probably what the players are feeling too. He has carried this team to where they are and he's probably going to get even better.
-
I don't about all of that. Those are some strong words. But Babs may be right. If Howard hadn't stepped in like he did, we may not be in playoff contention right now. I don't think any of the goalies of the recent past have made as strong of a contribution and carried us through such adversity (injuries, etc).
-
It's the duck fan's fault for starting the fight in that position. You don't start a confrontation when you're on lower ground. The canuck guy isn't gonna just stop and say, "hey this is unfair, let's go find some level ground..." He's just gonna smash his head.
-
Just to remind some of you, we're vying for a playoff spot here. This isn't like years of past where we could afford to experiment a little with our lineup before the post-season. The fact is that this year, Osgood is not a proven goaltender. Howard is. We start the guy that will get us the points to keep our season going.

Wings Transactions You Loved Which Unfortunately Failed
Seraph replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Definitely CuJo. He became my favorite goalie a few years before we got him. I think he single-handedly beat the Avs when he played for Edmonton in a first-round series. Of course, we all hated Colorado then. When we acquired him, I was totally stoked. But then he ended up playing in the minors and completely screwing up in the playoffs. -
It's just so strange that he goes to the last game of the playoffs two years in a row, but then can't get the starting job in net the subsequent seasons.

It's a pretty good song to sing and taunt the other team. Hate to complement them, but it's clever.

1. Yzerman 2. Shanahan 3. Zetterberg 4. Lidstrom 5. Datsyuk 6. McCarty 7. Fedorov 8. Kronwall 9. Konstantinov 10. Helm For a good number of years, #91 was at the top slot but gradually worked his way down. Can't deny those years watching him as a kid and loving it.
