For the first time ever, I think I'm content and don't want to go out and get any more players. I realize we have gaps to fill, but I don't like the thought of letting Hudler or Flip or any other guy going (like some people have suggested here). We're tearing up the league with what we have and think we're just going to have to battle through the adversity in the playoffs. We might get pushed around a bit, but boy, do we make some good passes.

I'm glad. I want him to be there when we beat them in the playoffs this year. I will NEVER forget that OT winner he scored, flying past Lilja. He needs to be there when they get eliminated this year.

We've got good chemistry but I think all it will take is a few injuries for that to fall apart, especially under the physical play of the playoffs. We need a bonus threat. A scorer, a checker, or a big body. Something. We really need to cover our bases for a long run this year.

What's the genealogy of the number? Can anyone map it out? Who started wearing what number, eventually influencing Stevie and Sakic to wear it? Who was it passed down to? I know a ton of people wear 19 or 9 now because of Yzerman's influence. I'm pretty sure Mike Modano is one of them.

Not to ***** and moan, but what's the point of putting hockey on ESPN if it's going to be the butt end of every joke? It would only make it worse for the game. People are more willing to close their minds towards something if it comes off as a joke and ESPN won't help in this regard. The only thing I like about Versus is that it respects the game in the way that it deserves.

I think I got it. We sign Avery and create an agitator cocktail including Drake, Maltby, Draper, Chelios and the gang. Then we trade the agitator cocktail for a top 6 forward or two!! Whoo!

Would anyone argue that Stevie was the best franchise player to date? As in, if you were going for the long haul, you'd want him in your team's core and believed he'd be dedicated to stay and develop with the team. Because I could see that, but that could be because of sentimental reasons.

These things look like soccer jerseys or something. This is going to take some getting used to. I liked the big star design better. It was more "hockey."

I was watching that game with a friend at a restaurant. I was trying to introduce him to hockey. We watched and watched. Ate our food. Watched some more. Had dessert. Watched some more. The restaurant began to close. Then during one of the intermissions we ran back to his house. Watched some more. And while my friend was going to the bathroom, Igor scored. Haha. Kind of funny. Amazing moment though. I just watched that video. Great game, that was. Man, I miss having Sergei on the team just for watching the way he skates.
