The thought of a Howard - Miller trade is actually very interesting. Probably unlikely as mentioned, but I think worth discussing because of Miller's connection to Detroit and his brother. Plus I know Holland is well connected with the Sabers organization, or at least he was in the past.

Curtis Joseph was one of my favorite goalies growing up and one of the greatest Grand Rapids Griffins to play the game.

It's doom and gloom time on LGW. The fact is we're injured. Fill the roster with our regular players plus Nyquist and Tatar and we have a very competitive roster. Remember we pushed the Stanley cup champs to 7 games without Helm and Dekeyser. -
My gosh, all I'm doing now is cheering for wins to save face in front of the world when this show comes out. Really not enjoying this slump.

Haha, something bad happens and everyone unloads on poor Cleary. If he finished the game it can't be that serious I hope. The bright side is Tatar and Nyquist are playing a bunch of minutes.

Priceline a fancy hotel downtown. Most likely you'll land in the Renaissance center, which is always empty and looking for visitors on that site. The People mover stop is right inside the building. You can people move straight to the Joe from there. It's only a couple stops away. People mover will take you to Greektown too for food. Priceline wont do you wrong in Detroit as long as you pick only the downtown area.

5 minutes of 4 on 4 overtime. If it's still tied, the game is a draw. If you want both points, earn them and earn them in the allotted time. 10 minutes of OT seems a bit much. Not that I would complain, but to the more casual fan. -
They always say mule needs to develop his "confidence" before he goes on a scoring streak. Hope the translation isn't "get his anxiety under control." Either way this brings up an interesting issue of mental health in sports. It's something I've never heard discussed.

Wanted to see if you guys could help me with this. Didn't want to start a brand new thread. Does anyone have a digital image of the production line banner that is hanging in the Joe at the Gordie Howe entrance? It's a picture of the three players with their back to the camera walking out of the locker room to the ice. If someone could post it or send it to me it would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe I'm being ridiculous because at Tigers games and such, I'm conversing about random things and having a grand old time. But at Wings games, it really infuriates me when some dude behind me is barely paying attention to the game, chatting about work, real estate, and a bunch of other crap, haha. This is hockey! Get into it. -
Part of the reason for Kronwall's response is to echo what he'd like to hear from all the skaters he clobbers on a regular basis.

Hockey season is upon us!

It's a measurement based on how many goals all the players contribute, which is not a good way to measure our success. We are a relatively low scoring team and our wins were usually by a low goal differential. Teams that more regularly blow out the competition that have a similar record would be ranked higher even though our point totals would be similar. That is if I'm understanding it right.

Haha, looks like the only way it's gonna happen is Sammy + a promising prospect for nothing. Basically bribe a team to take him off our hands. -
Great deal for Cleary. Loved the guy while he was here. You always got 100% effort from him. Not a fan of his critics on here because he's a true Red Wing through and through. The guy basically destroyed his body for our team so you can't fault him for his declining performance. Hope he enjoys this great contract.
