No, not in the NFL...but I think college football is a hundred times better than the NFL because of this. I know it gets said and its not entirely true, the regular season is a playoff of sorts...maybe a double elimination playoff. The only problem is, there is unavoidable bias in the decision of who goes where once its all over.

I thought that too, but now I think the voters were just determined not to have a rematch if at all possible.

It would change one of the things I love most about college football, if you lose once, youre done. I've always liked that...makes those upset games so exciting. There are big problems with the way the BCS works but Ohio State has been screwed by it so I dont have a big problem. I know that if I were in your shoes I might feel different but I'm not sold on the playoffs.

I will stick up for the Big Ten until I die, but I gotta give a slight edge to SEC this season. Although they arent nearly as great of a conference as was thought halfway through. I was looking forward to Eva's response....he always has something good for us.

You might be interested...I live with 7 other OSU students in a 3 story mansion of a college house....we are all football crazy. Mixed reaction..."F-IN USC! Those bastards dont deserve a rematch!" and "Bring em' on!" Because it'll be the best season ever if we beat you twice, and it'll really suck to lose to you when we already beat you once. Don't get me wrong, it's been a great season, and I think we would beat you again, but Michigan is a great team...the only one remotely on par with us. I nearly suffered a heart attack the first time and was glad it was over and we came out on top. I dont know how I could possibly handle a rematch for a FREAKIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Florida was pretty far behind in the BCS, not insurmountable, but it'll take a lot. I think Michigan will also be hurt by the "what have you done for me lately" media. They havent played in 2 weeks and Florida has won 2 since.

Yeah...her dad's the Cubs fan and passed it on to her. She does say that sometimes, but I think she knows that it doesnt really matter when it happened about a hundred years ago. I guess I just dont think you can brag about things you werent alive for. Although I'll use it when I'm cornered and it's to my advantage.
