Its all over ESPN on tv. What a terrible night to have a Hate Michigan concert at the Newport featuring the band the Dead Schembechlers. I know its all in fun but I dont know what they should do...I'd assume they didnt play or changed their name for one night.

Can't believe this....such incredible timing. I mean, wow. My thoughts with the Schembechler family.

After Michigan coach Bo Schembechler passes away and enters the Pearly Gates, God takes him on a tour. He shows Bo a little two bedroom house with a faded UM banner hanging from the front porch. This is your home now coach. Most people don't get their own house up here. Bo looked at the house then turns around and looks at the one sitting on top of the hill. It's a huge two-story mansion with white marble columns and little patios under all the windows. Ohio state flags line both sides of the sidewalk with a huge scarlet and grey OSU banner hanging between the marble columns. Thanks for the home God but let me ask you a question. I get this little two bedroom house with a faded UM Michigan banner and Woody Hayes gets a mansion with new OSU banners and flags flying all over the place. Why is that God? God looks at him seriously for a moment then replies, "That's not Woody's house, that's mine."

They're Michigan fans, of course they think they're going to win and could probably give you a million reasons why as well as a million excuses as to why the didnt win. It's the same for us here.

I'm sick of the hype and sick of talking about this game....let's kick it off already.

Thank god times have changed. I appreciate a good running attack, but the college game is so much more exciting than anything right now.

OSU has a big zero in that category....someday soon.

I dont know, OSU gets a lot of love, but Michigan gets nearly as much this season. The last month and half or so it's been, "ho-hum, Ohio State goes onto win 44-3". They havent been making a huge deal of our wins, which they shouldnt but people realize we've been taking care of business and been playing great in the big games we played. I think we've earned the respect, but so has Michigan. You just have to realize, with our offensive prowess, it's gonna get more attention than defense. It always does.

At least we can all agree....f*** Notre Dame.

I just think the only way they deserve to win this game is if they outplay Ohio State and score more points. Nobody has earned a victory in this game yet.

Of course, I just dont think most of these incidents have occured from OSU students. I dont want to be lumped in with the average ******* Joe who gets drunk and hurls obscenities at opposing fans. As long as an opposing fan is being respectful, I enjoy talking to them and welcoming them. It's a little different this week of course because you are our never-ending rival of recriprocated hatred, but I'm not about to abuse any Michigan fans either. It's just the eye-rolling and media portrayal of OSU fans has gotten a little old. Yes we're passionate, maybe too passionate. But Ohio State football is the only thing around Columbus. Besides the Blue Jackets, we dont have professional sports around like Ann Arbor does. It's football crazy state and we're in the heart of it, some people take it too far, and they are embarassing to us, but we're not the only ones. Make all the jokes you want, thats part of the rivalry and part of what it makes it so fun. I enjoy it, I'm just getting annoyed at some of the s*** I've been hearing lately, maybe because it pisses me off that a lot of stupid s*** has actually happened on our behalf, but we're not bad people and a majority of us would be more than respectful. My feelings about Michigan are much like what Vince Vaughn's character says to Will Ferrell's in Anchorman as he's holding the ladder at the end. "I hate you with every fiber of my being, but damnit, I respect you." What's with Chad Henne saying Michigan deserves to win this game? How can you deserve to win a game you haven't played?

How does he know they were Ohio State students? Were they wearing shirts that said "I'm a student at Ohio State." And if they were students, why were they driving to the game?

It's just you dont hear both sides of the story. I'm sure all these Michigan fans who have been wronged were just minding their own business. I just dont like being likened to an Al-Qaeda terrorist.

Please, it's not that bad here, I've been to Michigan games and my group had a beer bottle thrown at them. So f*** off already with this "terrorist" bulls***. I'd like to know who of you has ever had a bad experience.

If Michigan fans arent being loud and talkin s***, I guarantee nothing except "you suck" gets said to them. And that will be from the drunk ******* walking out of a bar. "Let's party Columbus!" Who knew Musberger was being literal?

Yeah, but it'll be nice for those meaningless bowl games. Sounds like the "Pardner" wont make it past the first quarter. Go Bucks!

Well, after the MIchigan game....its hard to argue with that. I could care less if people light couches and dumpsters on fire...thats good bonfire fun. It's the rioting and car burning that happened in 02 that is embarassing. Desmond Howard was just on Herbie's show here in Columbus...it was a cool segment. As for Musberger loving OSU...its different from game to game. I always thought he was too, but during last year's game he wore a blue and yellow tie. And he was audibly anti-Ohio State in the 95 Sugar Bowl and 97 Rose Bowl. Even my dad, a Michigan fan, was sickened by his anti-OSU bias in those games.

I dont think thats what blakchamber was saying. If you have family that went to go to Michigan, thats more than acceptable. It's the people, especially from NW Ohio, that have no association with UM, just a bunch of beer-swillin hillbillies who cant take a piss without wettin the front of their pants, but like to pretend their intelligent individuals because they root for Michigan. It's annoying to say the least. My father and brother are huge Michigan fans....so it's been a fun few weeks with the trash talk and all, and since I've been at OSU....I've been the one that gets to rub it in. And as much fun as leaving a 3 minute voicemail singing the fight song...I don't want that to happen to me.

Ah, screw it...g/f just IMed me so I'm gonna have to be up for a little while longer. It's irresistible force against the immovable object when the Bucks have the ball. Lately the running game has been a disappointment for the Buckeyes and Michigan has been dominant all season long. One player who I think could really help with power running is Chris Wells but I'm sure he won't see significant time due to his propensity to fumble, specifically inside the 5 yard line. So Ohio State will most likely look to get the passing game going with short outs and eat up yards 10 to 15 at a time. If it works, which it has all season, it will be a big advantage for OSU, if Michigan stops it, we're in trouble. Michigan's running game should have a pretty good day. Our defense has been outstanding in scoring defense, because they are the epitome of bend and don't break. We've given up some yards, although not a ton, and managed to escape a lot of situations. We are definitely a turnover oriented defense, so Henne can't make any mistakes against us or Michigan's offense will pay. But as usual, this game doesn't really come out as it seemingly should. There are tons of intangibles and patterns. Will JT be in the head of Carr and UM or is enough, enough already for the Maize and Blue? I think homefield is a pretty big advantage, especially in a game this big, but it will probably only be a factor in the first and fourth quarter situations. This is going to be an unforgettable week, on campus and what with my friends and family coming down (including several UM fans). May the good feelings continue for me and I hope you all have terrible, awful weekends and dont feel like waking up Sunday.
