Sunday night prediction....OSU 436 UM 2 More serious insight to come later in the week, I'm beat.
-
Got back from Evanston/Chicago around 4 this morning. I think half the state of Ohio made the same trip. Ryan Field was 80 percent Ohio State fans and that's no exaggeration. Nice blowout win. So the week has begun....how am I supposed to pay attention in class this week? Should be a freakin holiday week because this is one of the biggest weeks in Ohio State history.6 days and 2 hours until I'm in The Shoe for kickoff...GO BUCKS!

They'd just feel bad and give Louisville the AP National Championship like USC in 03.
-
I saw that...what a bad year for that program.

Watching Saturdays game against Illinois was like being at the dentist. I really really hope that Tressel was consciously calling run after run inbetween the tackles for 2 yard gains. It could be a good thing, we hadnt played a game yet where the last minute mattered...of course they gave up a touchdown but they held on.

I figured as much...didn't sound like something Herbstreit would do.

Well, I agree with him...on most accounts, but I would. Herbie's radio show here in Columbus is probably as biased as ever now that we approach the biggest game in rivalry history. "Worthless" was a poor choice of words, if he did infact say that. But Herbie is different than most Ohio State guys, he doesnt hate Michigan. He actually has a lot of respect for them. Breaston is an excellent kick returner, but I havent seem develop into any kind of reliable receiver. He can make big plays but sometimes he drops the plays he should make. Still, kind of a cheap shot, I would agree.

Michigan wont even score 22...let alone win by that much. I'm sure Cato June was being completely unbiased...haha.

Ohio State split with Northern Michigan, 0-2 and 4-2

2006 World Series: Tigers & Cardinals
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to BlakChamber's topic in Other Sports
I think we did show the world something. We went from the laughingstock of the league to the World Series in 3 years. I think everyone knows that the Detroit Tigers are back, and they better take notice next year. -
Come on...even when the two teams arent undefeated and going for National Championships there isnt a bigger game. This is the biggest game in the rivalry since 1973 when both teams were 1 and 2 and undefeated, a game that ended in a tie. But I still think this game is bigger....and I can't wait. Go Bucks!

And they got one or two coming....no worries about polls and BCS disputes now...except everyone else. We control our own destinies.

2006 World Series: Tigers & Cardinals
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to BlakChamber's topic in Other Sports
I'm still really bummed...but if you had told me at the beginning of the season that the Tigers were gonna make the World Series, I would have laughed at you. So thank you Tigers for making baseball fun again and one of the most incredible sports seasons of my life. This pitching staff should only get better so gotta keep hopes up they improve for next year. -

You stole my sig Amanda! Haha...you must have liked the Block O. I really hope they play tonite....but it might have been good for them to have last night off. Kills the Cards momentum and gives us a chance to straighten things out. -
Mangino at Kansas is still the fattest man I've seen stand for 3 hours straight.

We're printing out this article and putting on the walls of our party room...absolutely wonderful.

The Burgess thing sounds kinda bogus...I doubt he gets in trouble. Being unbiased...it sounds like Columbus police dug something from his past, 14 years old to be exact, and I doubt anything sticks. I just had the TV on Fox waiting for the Tigers game and a news break came up about him.
-
Its on Columbus news, he has an arrest warrant in Columbus for something. They havent gotten around to the whole story.
-
Whats up with the arrest warrant for Prescott Burgess?
-
The Arrington thing is news to me. I will admit, Manningham is scary good. I hate when good Ohio players go up north to play football.

My favorite part of that Uni Watch article...the pic at the end. ESPN -
Nah, that would suck. I'd rather take it to Michigan again this year with the team healthy so I didnt have to hear any excuses. Although, if Ohio State does win this year I'm sure Manningham will be the excuse.
-
Of course, its half the fun of it all. I wouldnt say we've been running up the score. Tressel's been pretty quick to put in the second and third stringers. Michigan's defense has been the best in the nation and I agree with your argument about ranked opposition. But our defense has been the epitome of bend, dont break. We give up yards, but they always find a way to come up with a turnover or force a stop and keep points off the board. I think the OSU-Michigan matchup is the most intriguing game of the year just because of how different they are.
-
This may just be a biased opinion...but the closest game OSU has had yet is a 17 point win at defending national champion Texas...at night...on the road. Ohio State - 279 vs. (3 teams ranked) Opponents - 66 Michigan - 238 vs. (1 team ranked) Opponents - 101 Doesnt prove anything, but Ohio State has been the more dominant team. I think we've more than earned the number one spot, but like Heroes of Hockeytown said, it doesn't matter because that can all change Nov. 18. I like our chances at home, but this is the best Michigan team in nearly a decade.

Michigan is number two in the BCS.
