What an unbelievable game. Kenny was absolutely amazing. Gonna have to come back from the OSU-BG game today to catch the end of Game 4.

The bottom of the ninth was sooooooo intense, I thought I was gonna die. Zumaya.....that's all I have to say...Zumaya.

Ernie Harwell...that'll be a trip down memory lane. It'll feel like 3rd grade again if he says, "and Big Cecil strikes out"

Detroit Lions, NFL 2006 Season Thread

I'm glad they dont show Lions games in Columbus. It's much less frustrating watch ESPN Gamecast. -
Detroit Tigers should have been AL Central Champs!

I dont even want to talk about it...just hope their ready to redeem themselves against those bleepin Yankees. -
It's just so annoying to listen to media talk. USC should be number one, no, Auburn should be number one, no, West Virginia is the best team in the history of college football. Truth is, the closest game Ohio State has had so far was a 17 point win in Texas against the defending National Champions.

Eat it Corso, Eat it Saunders....suck my Buckeye. It's a long way away, but I have tickets to what may be the biggest game in Ohio State-Michigan history.
-
I've always hated T.O. but I really dont like seeing something like this happen. Kind of makes me think of him as a human for once, although I wonder what the rest of this story is.

The Top 10 rankings agree between the two polls except for LSU and Georgia with switched 9 and 10 rankings. Big game for the Bucks Saturday Night in Iowa City. Hopefully a win there cements us as number one and no more of this "they didnt win by enough" talk.
-
And you're right eva, maybe the pollsters are just expecting Michigan to choke, I dont know.
-
Purdue always chokes, and they have defense at all.
-
Especially considering it was impossible to get drafted by the rules of the NFL Draft. Maurice, get some help, and go away.

For some reason I like the rankings this year. But I agree, Michigan should be ahead of Florida if the voter has any sense of logic based upon what's happened so far.
-
You say that every year. But that is why I was pulling for Michigan. Although both teams are far from the end of the season, if both win out, it would definitely be 1 vs. 2. Ohio State would win of course, and then win the national championship, becoming the first team to beat three no. 2's in one year.

An ugly 30 point win for the Buckeyes today if there is such a thing. Currently Michigan is killing Notre Dame which is just fine by me.
-
How bout them Buckeyes? Now the media gets to talk about how Texas shouldn't have been ranked no. 2 anyway, completely ignoring that Ohio State played like no. 1 team. Bill Plaschke even called USC the no. 1 team? Because of their win over Arkansas? Don't get me wrong, USC has a killer defense and I'm sure their offensive replacements are more than suitable, but they had to drop in the standings because of the departures on offense and a win over Arkansas isn't anything that inspires National Championship dreams. The Bucks have a long road in front of them. With a healthy Tate, Iowa will be a big test. It remains to be seen if the Nittany Lions' game Saturday was a fluke or a telling tale of a one year wonder. Of course there is the Michigan game and who knows what Big Ten team will come out of nowhere to contend this year. But all in all, a good start. The defense wasnt great but made big plays. Texas did run well against us but the pass defense was tough. The offense just kind of coasted but looked good doing it. High hopes on campus this year. For the record...I'm already so sick of Notre Dame, that I might actually like if Michigan won. But then again, that could spring a whole media bandwagon for Michigan. Maybe Notre Dame could win, but Lamar Woodley breaks Quinn's leg or something? I think that's something I might be interested in.

I'm home from college right now and the internet is having issues so I havent been around much. Firstly, the first quarter of the Ohio State game had me salivating. It was 28-0 before I was on my second beer. But there were some disappointing mistakes, 2 fumbles inside the 5 yard line, 2 missed field goals, one very makeable. The defense was all over the place...a great series, a terrible one. Wolfe had his way with us and it makes me more nervous for next weeks rematch. And I think Chris Wells will be my next jersey number purchase. The Michigan game was pretty boring. Vandy was terrible, just awful. And I couldnt really come away with any conclusion on Michigan. In some ways they looked like they were cruising along although not playing great, but it seems like they should have had their way with Vandy. The defense looks much improved but maybe that could be chalked up to Vandy incompetence. Either way, I see this Michigan team being much better than last years. Was hoping for a Notre Dame collapse, missed the second half but I saw them hold on at the end. Go Penn State next week. Saturday is a big day for me. I move into my first house with 7 of my friends for roommates...got an HDTV lined up for the 8:00 kickoff. Needless to say, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time for that one.

They must be looking pretty damn good tonite. The simulated ESPN Gamecast action looks good.

I was LMAO when I first saw that scene.

According to Wedding Crashers you can pick up chicks at either.

Isn't Josh Lewin, the Tigers old play by play, with the Rangers still? Another game on ESPN...I get to watch!
