I'm surprised by the amount of comments that blog got. That's more people than I assumed had visited a Coyotes blog total. People like this are idiots. Last year in Columbus, they had this whole "if you see someone with an octopus, kick their ass" thing going on.

I sat through a ton of commercial breaks just to catch it yesterday. When I finally saw it....awesome. Got a little dusty in the room.

When I saw the name of the thread I thought, "idiot". Then I saw who started it, and I smiled.

If it's about the time spent in the state then it's debate. If it's who is the best coach of those listed, Izzo or anyone else doesn't belong in the same paragraph as Bowman. LOL Wayne Fontes

I have been to many, many Wings games at Nationwide. You shouldn't have any problems at all just watching the game. However, the Columbus fans do seem to have an issue with the octopus throwing...so be prepared to defend yourself and get tossed out. There are several parking garages around, most of them are 10 bucks, and within walking range of everything. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the area around Nationwide. Mongolian Barbeque, Ted's Montana Grill, Boston Pizza...but I would recommend hitting up Frog Bear & Wild Boar bar before the game. There are sure to be plenty of Wings fans there since it's literally 50 yards from the entrance to Nationwide and they have good food and a hockey atmosphere (though it is a bit pricey). Also, R Bar is a hockey bar, and it is Blue Jackets vs. Red Wings themed year round (they think it's a rivalry, LOL!). Enjoy yourself. Nationwide is a great arena, maybe the best in hockey...they just don't have a team to put in it. I'll probably be there too, haven't bought tickets yet though.

Ain't that the truth. Bobby Lang scares me everytime he touches the puck. Even J Willy torched us when he was with the Hawks. Hate playing against former Wings.

Michigan did get jobbed on that quick whistle last night. It became increasingly clear to me in the overtime that Michigan wasn't going to win that game. Kind of like watching the Wings in overtime, a thousand glorious chances and not getting in, as well as having one taken away. I'm not crying any tears for the bastards up north, but it would have been nice to see Ford Field filled for a hockey game. I fear now that it'll be cavernous and quiet.

Had a ton of chances to pull away and never did. Diebler sucked. Matta running a defense that keeps Lauderdale 10 feet away from the basket. Refs calling phantom calls and then not calling prison rape(admittedly that went both ways). Just sad because they could have had the easiest path to the national championship maybe ever.

The Wings have won the hearts of Hockeytown. I think the bandwagon fans may have got it right. They never have to go through real heartbreak, they just kind of let it roll of them and move on to the next thing. I mean, I'm glad I'm not wired that way, but it's probably fun. Expensive though, buying a different team jersey every couple years. Anyway, that wasn't even close to on-topic. Being in Columbus, I have yet to develop any real dislike of the Blue Jackets. Any trash-talking in my direction I've met with laughter.

I really like the Caps. Fun team to watch, and a great bandwagon crowd. They're probably my fave Eastern team besides the Sabres.

Just take any picture of an octopus, and type (and announce) "enhance" several times over. Works like a charm. Sorry to get your hopes, mine are all barely avatar worthy.

Maybe Tavares will pull something out of his ass. And who the f is Matt Moulson? I see he's their leading scorer. I should've renewed Center Ice this year. Go Blues and Yotes as well.

I would pick Z for next captain. Datsyuk deserves all the consideration in the world, but he's a quiet guy by nature and my Russian is about as good as his English. Which is to say, not very. Looking ahead, I see Helmer as being Alternate material in the years ahead.

I ended up on the big screen at a Wings/Jackets game in Columbus. Of course I was being booed horribly, but then I lifted my Hank jersey to reveal a Michigan Sucks shirt, and the crowd loved me. One guy bought me a beer on the concourse. Come prepared to pacify the angsty ones.

I caught that too but couldnt stand the nonsense so I turned it off. The were trying to get the "robots" off their game at the 60 minute mark? Right.

Crosby on the Wings? Yeah. Of course. And I think he would immediately become a better player all around and the organization would maybe show Sid how to take the higher road with a bit of class.
