Yeah, thats pretty typical. I'm usually happy when we get 3 out of 6 points when we head out to Calgary, then Edmonton, then Vancouver. -

Whenever my Blackhawk friend gets too big of a head, I remind him that Joel Quenneville is their head coach. Then I lol. -
This reminds me. My dad and I made the trip up to go to the game on Wednesday. We stopped at a rest stop just as we got into Michigan. On our way back to the car, some lady rolls her window and yells "Go Pens" at us. She then talked about how great winning the cup was and she doesn't like the Wings. She mentioned she was from Pittsburgh, as I assumed from her PA plates. I told her, "You didn't have to tell us you were from Pittsburgh, we could see your teeth...". Fantastically mean.

I just love our prevent defense in the third period. Why possess the puck when you can sit back and let Howard face a shooting gallery? That said, big 2 points and a big win going forward. That second period is what wet dreams are made of. -
It was a great tournament. Ryan Miller is an American hero. Hope going forward this is the beginning of a hockey uprisingin the United States.

Great? I didn't think he was anything special at all. Unless he has a lot of space, he's useless. He's also too small to create his own space. Kessel was a huge disappointment, agreed.

I didn't expect them to win because they played terrible until Kesler's deflection goal. They started to pick it up after that and scored the huge, would-be historic goal in the last seconds, but I don't think they ever completely found their game today. Especially in the offensive zone. Little to no sustained pressure, questionable passes, and rarely anyone at the front of the net. Canada did a great job of taking away space....at times, seemed like there were 8 Canadians on the ice. But after that Parise goal....yeah, I felt it. -

To be honest, I just wanted to talk with what I assumed to be a bunch of happy Canadians and proud Americans, but that's impossible. Sidney Crosby is tearing apart these boards...it's unbelievable. In an attempt to bring back something worthwhile....I'll say it again. Congrats to the Canadian fans. It must be a tremendous feeling right. After their loss to the US they certainly came back and earned gold. -

Congrats to all the Canadian fans....most talented team of the tournament. They definitely earned it. Of all the ******* people to score.... Proud of the Americans....I didn't think the US had their best game. Luongo was there to be beaten, just didnt get enough people around the net. Hate to say it, but it was Rafalski half-assed defense that sent in the game winner. Go US....and now we can focus on being a family that fights about goalies and enforcers again. Go Wings! -
