Dmitri Bykov was solid defensively. Everyone here I didn't forget, just because I re-watch so many old games. I'll think of a good one... How about Mike Ramsey (of Miracle on Ice fame) or Jim Cummins?

Didn't he miraculously score two goals in that game to? That kind of pissed me off. I knew that bought him time.

If Kampfer had gotten hurt from a legal hit, I'd agree his dad had no right to be that upset. However, he was hurt in a very malicious way that has no part in the game of hockey, and if it was your son you saw that happening to, you'd want blood too. These are college adults too, not high school kids he confronted. Not saying he shouldn't be reprimanded for it, but I can understand why he'd do it.

Figures. Hope that's not the last we've seen of Downey this season.

Last night I was more fired up at the end of the second period than at any other point in the season. A lot of it had to with our comeback, O'Halloran raping Homer, and the Wings were buzzing. But what I really loved to see was the bodies flying around. Downey's presence and hitting energized the whole team last night. Of course it didn't work, but the crowd actually made some noise. I watch regardless of the player's nationality, fighter/non-fighter, but I'd love to see Downey get some 4th lines minutes on a fairly regular basis.

The sky is falling!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. I'd rather not get blown out and just get our heads out of our ass and start playing Red Wings hockey.

I'm a big Ozzie fan, but he's gotta step it up. He appeared to be resurgent after he came back from injury, but he's falling by the wayside again. That said, he didn't have a chance on two of the three goals he gave up tonight.

The puck never actually went in. Turco somehow kept it on his glove. I had to see the replays three times before I realized it wasn't a goal.

That just pissed me off all over again. I don't think the NHL is out to get us. I really don't. But this guy.....it's becoming entirely too common. I can understand it occasionally, it's a tough call. But most of those were easy non-calls.

Go Cards! I hate the Steelers. Plus I got teary eyed watching the Cards win the NFC. Made me feel a slight glimmer of hope for the Lions.

Those are nice. Can we have one of those soon? So is that the last we'll see of Downey this season?

If we can get Franzen for 3 million, I'd be all over it. That is, at a short contract of 2-3 years. It would also depend on how much Hossa wants.

I get what you're saying. I was more pumped up in the second period than any other time this season. But I'll take the W anyday. The third was quite a letdown after the second. If we had won, I'd be on board with you.

The guy has 21 goals. He was never going to be Marian Hossa. Considering his current salary he's a hell of a steal.

Yeah, he wasn't half bad. But you know what really pisses me off....Lilja scores a goal and I don't a chance to truly celebrate it. Wings just got too far behind, got bent over a little, and the Stars played well.
