They said it...and I just smiled.

Dom was looking like his old self again tonight. I think he finally has things back on track.
-
I thought Kronwall looked good tonite offensively. Not necessarily just the assists, but he was making some nice moves around fore checkers at the blue line and getting good shots.
-
I disagree...Go scUM!
-
There was a defender between and he had a clear shot at the net. He would have been an idiot to pass.

Just got back from the game. Does anyone know if it was a sellout tonite? There were more people there tonite than most the games I've been to when the sellout streak was still alive. It was good game to be at...seems like the Wings could have put 10 up if they wanted to.

It was a great effort for the Wings to get 2 points when the bounces didn't seem to be going their way for a good portion of the night. Ozzie is the man!

Why not John Cooper? Michigan needs him to get the rivalry back on track. -
Maybe, except those logos are nowhere to be found on their uniforms. I associate Arsenal more with O2 and Emirates than than their little cannon thing.

I think some of it has to do with the NHL Salary Cap. Ilitch spends at least 20 million a year less on Wings salary while still raking in top dough from the 18000 sold tickets per game. That extra money is now going to the Tigers.

HOLY s***! Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera! OMG! I'm as giddy as a school girl!

The JLA music guy needs to go. I thought he was awful 10 years ago, and he plays the same songs now that he did then. All I'm saying is, it's a hockey game, nobody wants to hear Chicago during a freaking hockey game.

Well, until this year, people would have been right calling you crazy. And Michigan still wouldn't have gotten to the National Championship with two losses because they're not from the SEC, but I'll give you props for a bold prediction. -

Talk of the Big Ten being terrible is greatly exaggerated. It is true, that the Big Ten is not as powerful right now as it once was or will be again, and it is true that the SEC seems to have the most depth in the nation. But less us not forget, that last season, the Big Ten was 2-1 against the SEC in the bowls. The only reason this isnt brought is because all media loves the SEC and all anyone remembers is my Buckeyes taking a s*** at midfield last January. Also remember not to fall prey to the ESPN axiom, which states that if a top tier Big Ten team loses to mid-tier Big Ten team it's because the conference is so bad, and if the same were to happen in the SEC it's because they're so damn good. -

I think it comes down to money. There's no way he'll get as much from Michigan as he'll get from LSU. LSU may have to offer double UM's offer just to keep him. -

The latest story is that Les Miles has in fact agreed to a 3 year extension, however he has not yet signed that agreement. This is getting ridiculous by the way. -

I'm not sure that Les Miles is the Golden Boy he's being made out to be....but he may be Michigan's best option. -

Temporary Oklahoma fan this weekend...Boomer Sooner! I guess I'm also a Pitt fan, but I dont think they have much of a shot. It's likely that if Ohio State does move up to the NC, Michigan would play Florida in whatever the name of that bowl in Florida is these days. I don't say this often, but if they play, ahem...Go Blew! (That's the closest to the actual thing I will allow myself to say, but seriously.) -

Offical Lloyd Carr retirement thread

Lloyd Carr has run a clean program that has been successful. A bit of a rarity it seems these days, and the third winningest Big Ten coach ever. We at Ohio State will miss Carr, we fear your new coach will be your Tressel. -

I didnt say it wasn't close. I wasn't comfortable until the very end because all it would have taken was one muffed punt return, a fumble, or Manningham actually catching a ball to make it a nailbiter at the end. However, weather or not 91 yards of offense is pretty impressive or pretty pathetic depending upon which side you're on. Our run defense was absolutely monstrous. Even Mike Hart gaves us a compliment on that one. Since I was in the endzone and pretty close to the field, my depth perception wasn't the best and I still havent watched the TV replay, but I thought Henne looked awful. Most of his passes were inaccurate, and it just so happens that the ones he hit, we're dropped. After Boeckman's god-awful interception at the end of the first half, I knew we wouldn't see more than 5 or 6 second half passes out of the offense. I'm just glad Beanie was able to slow down his cuts yet for the most part maintain his balance, he was unbelievable.
