2007 College Football Season Talk
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in Other Sports
The good: OSU domination victory. The tailgating and delicious food prepared by some very hospitable Michigan fans. My 11th Row seats. The bad: The weather, it was pretty damn miserable. Chad Henne....just wow. (Throw in Manningham and the Michigan O line) The ugly: The Michigan fan who spit on my face. If that was you, you know who I am, because I was the one who took your ass down. You can say anything you want to me. I had people get in my face and yell "f*** YOU!", and I may think you're an immature *******, but I can handle it. However, spitting on me will get your ass kicked, and by the look on your face, you didn't think I would do anything about it. EDIT: I should mention that not even 5 minutes after this incident, a Michigan student in line behind me, hugged me and told me he loved me. Yes, he was drunk. -

OSU rotates their line pretty frequently so he'll play both, but I imagine they'll try to line him up opposite Schilling. -

The only penalty against Illinois came after the two previous plays had gotten a huge rise out of the crowd for missed holding penalties, and on the third play holding was called. For the most part, I didn't notice many missed calls so I dont think that was maybe a big deal. I have been told by many people who watched the game on TV that Illinois definitely fumbled on their first Touchdown drive, and the play wasn't even reviewed. Really though, I'm not gonna blame the refs for that one. Illinois outplayed the Bucks...simple as that. -

My parents have the tickets. As far as I know, there are 8 tickets. 6 of them are next to each other in one of the endzone corners on the Ohio State bench side and about halfway up. The other two are about 10 rows up, hope those are the ones I get! My mom actually got the tickets from people she does business with up in Detroit and we won't have them in our hands until Saturday morning when we meet up on State Street. Then headed over for some serious tailgating at the golf course. By the way, this will be my fifth game at Michigan Stadium, and everytime I've been there we've been on the golf course. I still can't believe they let people drive on this thing, that's gotta take some serious repairs every spring. -

Yeah, I do. But who knows, I still havent seen the video so maybe I was misinformed. At the game it was impossible to tell who was doing what. -

Alright Michigan fans...let's make this a classy yet nasty week of trashtalk. Robiskie and Jenkins are likely to be out next week due to a suspension. Both threw punches at the end of the game. GO BUCKS! -

If by own you mean that 24-7 loss you had last season, then yeah...you own us. But you obviously have the maturity of a middle schooler, so I'll leave that alone. Those upsets were for basketball games, not football games. -

That was depressing. A new defensive coordinator may be in line. I mean, when the opposition runs the same play over and over, and you can't figure it out, something's wrong. -

There is a NCAA College Football thread. And are you a Michigan fan? Because you lost today too, which makes your parading around about Ohio State losing, the week before the game no less, interesting. The Bucks stormed the field after the game because Illinois was jumping up and down on the O at midfield. Should have defended it by winning, but the Seniors weren't gonna let that happen. And should someone who refers to a team as the "f***eyes" be giving lectures on class? -

Go Hoos! The Orange Bowl sucks and so does Miami. -
He was on an official visit last Saturday against Wisconsin. He's keeping things close to the vest and has said he won't commit until signing day in February, but most believe believe tOSU is his number one and has been. However, he plans to take all his visits and a lot can change. We had Pryor chants going for him last Saturday, hope we made a good impression. We have a good recruiting class already, he would make it an outstanding class.

I agree with Manny that App. St. isnt the reason Hart wouldn't get it, although that would be in the back of voters minds. He was one of the frontrunners before he got injured. As much I'd like to be a homer for Beanie (next season will be his turn), I'm goin with Dennis Dixon. He's a stud.

Yeah, as much as Michigan fans might be ready to be off the radar. to me this still isn't close just because it's basketball. It happens in basketball fairly often, I mean we've had three "WTF" games in the last week.

When this thread was started, I wasn't sure if it was as bad as the App State situation, although I was leaning towards it not being nearly as big. I sit here now knowing, that it's not a big deal because there's no emotional sting. When I saw the score I shook my head and laughed, because this game doesn't go down in the books and a month from now, no one will be talking about it. -

We have? I mean, we cheered like hell when it happened, but we only use it when a UM fan gets mouthy. -

That was impressive. I actually made the mistake of making fun of one of my Michigan friends, should've known that with MSU, the game wasn't over. Wisconsin put a scare into us today. The secondary was playing awful and the offense was just not very effective for the first three quarters. But, in time Beanie wore them down and took over. -
Even if we had Shelley, he'd just be scratched.
