Pronger seems like just the guy to lead that team of cheapshot artists.

I like this year....I feel confident we'll finish first in the West, because we always do and who cares at this point about President's Trophies. I expect the Wings to pick up a couple more gritty players during the season, not that these players will satiate the grit apetite of our LGW fanbase, but I still think we're legit cup contenders.

It'll take a few years of marked improvement before I say I'm "confident" that the Lions will do anything positive, but I am feeling pretty optimistic for this weekend. Let's hope Roy keeps his mouth shut and does his talking on the field this year. -

It was ugly. I like A&M too...and hate the U. -
I've given up...they had a lead through at least the middle of each of these games and choked them all away. I'm pretty much just looking forward to getting everyone healthy and retooling for next season and a fresh start. You can't play as bad as we had for 2 months and make the playoffs, no matter how much talent you have.

Washington is looking a lot tougher than it did at the beginning of the season. I think as long as Ohio State can hold onto the ball (5 TO's last week) they'll come out with a good win. Top ranked defense in the nation (after YSU and Akron) should be good enough to hold the surprising Huskies down. -

I imagine Michigan will come out and play tough football against Oregon. But I have serious questions about their defense. Henne, Hart, and Manningham may have to carry them to every victory. -

MSU = 1-0 UM = 0-1 Obviously the Spartans fans dont want to talk too much s***, because their team seems to fall apart after Week 3 or 4 every year, but the Wolverines fans shouldnt be talking too much themselves. -

Do you mean Portland State, coached by Jerry Glanville. I heard he was making quite a stir out there, who did they beat? -

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3002828 Indianapolis Colts defensive back Marlin Jackson, a former Michigan standout, said he was embarrassed by the result. "We lost to a I-AA program, and we were a top-five team," he said. "To go out and be the first team in history to lose to a I-AA team, it hurts." Jackson said the loss has been an almost nonstop topic of conversation for him. "That's all I've been getting the last couple of days. Every text message I get just says 'Appalachian State.' That's all it says," he said. "The Ohio State guys have been all right. It's everybody else around here. Even coach [Tony] Dungy said something to me about it." -

I dont think it matters, he wont be fired until after the season if he is, and he wont be. I thought before today this was his last season anyway. Ron English may be promoted, though his stock fell today too. -

I agree about Cal-Tennessee. I'm not counting out TCU, I remember what they did to Oklahoma a few years back. -

I'm almost certain that the best Michigan can hope for is the Rose Bowl. People won't forget they lost to a D-1AA team. I still can't believe it. Last night I texted my Michigan friend that Appalachian State would win 34-33...I was off by one point. I never thought it would actually happen, though I did think Appalachian State would make it a better game than most UM fans would think, but wow.
